If Iran manages to rebuild Hezbollah their primary enemy will be in Syria, not Israel.

I doubt very much that a Sunni Syrian regime will mess (much) with Israel. Their paymasters (Saudi Arabia, gulf states) have been in peacemaking mode since 2016. And Trump is their great friend.

Thats correct. Hamas didnt like the politics of their former supporters, who have been all for peace with Israel for almost a decade now. So Hamas sold itself to Iran.

Iran also harbored Al Qaeda and related organizations in the 1990’s - 2000’s.
