THE MARK OF THE BEAST AS A "SIGN COMMANDMENT" AND "ANTI-SABBATH" IN THE WORSHIP CRISIS OF REVELATION 12-14
https://digitalcommons.andrews.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=2925&context=auss ^

The key to understandmg the mark of the beast is to examine its imagery, based in the language of OT sign commandments, the Decalogue, and the Sabbath in the light of the thematic, theological, and structural features of the vision it is embedded with. When all is taken together, a consistent pattern emerges. The first table of the Decalogue and the Sabbath are the objects of the dragon's attack. The mark of the beast functions like a sign commandment and a direct parody of the Sabbath. The last rebellion of the dragon is an attempt to simultaneously draw the whole world into a unified rebellion against the Creator God. The rebellion's climax comes when a counterfeit Sabbath-like or antiSabbath mark is enforced upon all the earth. Not all join in this rebellion. God's people are commandment-keepers, who trust in Jesus and keep his Decalogue commandments. In the crisis of Rev 12-1 5, faith in Jesus, combined with obedience to the Decalogue commandments, including the Sabbath, are the eschatological sign and seal of covenant loyalty to the God of creation and redemption. In contrast, the mark of the beast stands as the eschatologcal sign of rebellion against God.

It is an act of identity theft, stealing from Israel and falsely trying to apply it to the church.

I disagree with the article, first I would argue that the Sabbath was part of the ritual or ceremonial commandments of the Old Testament. I can’t remember which one is was but I think it was ritual, Either way it isn’t that important which one for the argument. Jesus kept the Sabbath as well as other ritual and ceremonial which were done as a sign of the coming Messiah, but Jesus was the fulfillment of those ritual and ceremonial laws and I my be wrong about it but Jesus didn’t keep those ritual and ceremonial laws after his death and resurrection. In fact after his death and resurrection he became our rest. So if my argument is correct, it doesn’t matter which day we should worship legally, I will humbly say I working on my argument and I would hope you consider this point of view for we are saved not by our works but by the work of Christ dying on the Cross for his elect. We are not saved by anything we do, but we are saved by the Holy Spirit, and by faith which is a gift that God gives us for free, you don’t have to do anything for it. You can’t work away your sins to impress Jesus. Salvation is by the Glory of God’s work alone now by God’s work and man’s work added to it. Anyway I hope you get something out of this. And as far as Some pope changing the 7th day from Saturday to Sunday that is a bunch of garbage especially when one does not considering it doesn’t matter which day you worship God and or which day you rest because as I mention Jesus Christ is our rest. It is a ritual and/or ceremonial law Jesus fulfilled.

The Mark is a perversion of the New Jerusalem where the saved have the Name of GOD on there foreheads.

It has nothing to do with the Sabbath the 7th day, guess you missed 666, that is man’s day 6. It is a counterfeit of Father GOD, Son the GOD, and Holy Spirit the GOD. Why do you think casinos all have 777 as winners? 666, Satan wants to be god, antichrist wants to be god the son, and the pope will be the false prophet, three spirits of one devil, counterfeit of our great GOD.

Ok. Can someone explain that in English, please. (And I know my Bible fairly well).

It means, in order to exalt SDA as the true remnant, that, according to their unBiblical female Foundress:

The living righteous will receive the seal of God prior to the close of probation.75Selected Messages 1:66.
The sign, or seal, of God is revealed in the observance of the seventh-day Sabbath, the Lord's memorial of creation.... The mark of the beast is the opposite of this—the observance of the first day of the week.76Testimonies for the Church 8:117.
Sundaykeeping is not yet the mark of the beast, and will not be until the decree goes forth causing men to worship this idol sabbath. The time will come when this day will be the test, but that time has not come yet.77SDA Bible Commentary 7:977. - https://whiteestate.org/devotional/mar/07_22/
Meaning that they actually imagine that a world government will mandate the first day to be the Sabbath and require worship on that day, and those that do will be taking the mark of the Beast.

However, Some contend that we ought to keep the seventh day Sabbath, as it is an everlasting covenant, yet as the table below shows it is not alone in that category. Neither does it's sanctification prior to the codification of the 10 commandments establish it as an ordinance to be obeyed (as under the Old Covenant) under the New Covenant, as it, like circumcision (likewise an everlasting covenant), is also part of the ceremonial prefigurements that the Lord Jesus would and has, fulfilled. As God rested from the work of creation the 7th day, the Lord Jesus rested from His work of atonement on the first day. The Lord then met the disciples on the first day of the week, and sent the Gift of the Holy Ghost on that day. (Jn. 20:1,19; Acts 2:1ff)

Further evidence that the 1st day of the week became the primary day of Christian assembly is that the 1st day is the only day specifically mentioned as a meeting day for a community of New Testament believers. (Acts 20:7; 1Cor.16:2) Meanwhile, 9 of the 10 commandments are reiterated in the New Testament, but the 4th commandment is conspicuously absent, and now where is there amy command ever given under the New Covenant to the church to keep the 7th day Sabbath. Nor is there any mention of an established church specifically meeting on the 7th day, unlike on the 1st.

Those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation do and will enter into the antitype of the Old Testament Sabbath, the spiritual rest of Christ in His spiritual kingdom, (Heb.4; Col.1:13,14) as they walk by faith and not by sight. “For we which have believed do enter into rest,...” “For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.” (Heb. 4:3a, 10) That chapter shows that even under the Old covenant there remained a type of rest to be obtained that went beyond physically keeping the Sabbath, which soul-rest (Mt. 11:28) is found by faith and surrender to the Lord Jesus. And yet this rest is to to be fully realized by them which continue in faith: “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” (Rv. 14:13b)

True believers are to be led by God's Holy Spirit in accordance with the Bible and in obedience to the covenant He has enjoined us to be under. The New Covenant was distinctly declared by God to be “Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD” (Jer. 31:32), and part of that distinction is not only the lack precisely prescribed ritualistic worship (as in static liturgies) but the replacement of annually observed “days, and months, and times, and years” (Gal. 4:10) such as the Galatians were chastised for observing, as such is consistent with legalism [this does not mean that some manner of ritual or liturgy is evil, as structure is necessary, (1Cor. 14:26-33) but structure is to facilitate the moving of the Holy Spirit, and not hinder Him, and the tendency is for ritual to become mechanical, fossilized and lifeless.]. And as said before, the only precedent we have for a weekly observance is that of the 1st day of the week.

We need no more keep the 7th day Sabbath than the other ordinances which foreshadowed the coming and work of Christ. “Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.” (Heb. 9:10) “And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” (Col. 2:13-17) We may be in great anticipation when we see the shadow of someone we yearn to see, but once the reality comes we look at the body which made the shadow. Praise ye the Lord.

Christ having come in the flesh, He has fulfilled Old Testament figures. and presently “we walk by faith and no by sight” (2Cor. 5:7), as seeing Him who is invisible.” (Heb. 11:27) It may be possible however, that when the Lord Jesus establishes His physical kingdom – and our faith becomes sight – then the O.T.. ceremonies will once again find their place in a dispensation in which the restored Jewish nation will be proved, in a physical kingdom in which sacrifices would be possible, perhaps in a memorial sense (Ezk.37, 40:48)

3 See below for abundant historical support which shows that from early on, and before the “church of Rome” had power to change the day from the 1st day of the week to the 7th, which change she is erroneously credited with doing, though Rome does incorporate elements of Judaism as well as unBiblical practices. These quotes are only for historical purposes, and any doctrinal views must be subject to examination by the Bible.

  • 100 AD BARNABAS: Moreover God says to the Jews, 'Your new moons and Sabbaths 1 cannot endure.' You see how he says, 'The present Sabbaths are not acceptable to me, but the Sabbath which I have made in which, when I have rested [heaven: Heb 4] from all things, I will make the beginning of the eighth day which is the beginning of another world.' Wherefore we Christians keep the eighth day for joy, on which also Jesus arose from the dead and when he appeared ascended into heaven. (15:8f, The Epistle of Barnabas, 100 AD, Ante-Nicene Fathers , vol. 1, pg. 147)

  • 150AD EPISTLE OF THE APOSTLES.- I [Christ] have come into being on the eighth day which is the day of the Lord. (18)

  • 150AD JUSTIN: The command of circumcision, again, bidding [them] always circumcise the children on the eighth day, was a type of the true circumcision, by which we are circumcised from deceit and iniquity through Him who rose from the dead on the first day after the Sabbath, [namely through] our Lord Jesus Christ. For the first day after the Sabbath, remaining the first of all the days, is called, however, the eighth, according to the number of all the days of the cycle, and [yet] remains the first.". (Justin, Dialogue 41:4)

  • 150AD JUSTIN: ...those who have persecuted and do persecute Christ, if they do not repent, shall not inherit anything on the holy mountain. But the Gentiles, who have believed on Him, and have repented of the sins which they have committed, they shall receive the inheritance along with the patriarchs and the prophets, and the just men who are descended from Jacob, even although they neither keep the Sabbath, nor are circumcised, nor observe the feasts. Assuredly they shall receive the holy inheritance of God. (Dialogue With Trypho the Jew, 150-165 AD, Ante-Nicene Fathers , vol. 1, page 207)

  • 150AD JUSTIN: But if we do not admit this, we shall be liable to fall into foolish opinion, as if it were not the same God who existed in the times of Enoch and all the rest, who neither were circumcised after the flesh, nor observed Sabbaths, nor any other rites, seeing that Moses enjoined such observances... For if there was no need of circumcision before Abraham, or of the observance of Sabbaths, of feasts and sacrifices, before Moses; no more need is there of them now, after that, according to the will of God, Jesus Christ the Son of God has been born without sin, of a virgin sprung from the stock of Abraham. (Dialogue With Trypho the Jew, 150-165 AD, Ante-Nicene Fathers , vol. 1, page 206)

  • 150AD JUSTIN: And on the day called Sunday, all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability, and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given, and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons. And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration." (First apology of Justin, Weekly Worship of the Christians, Ch 68)

  • 150AD JUSTIN: Moreover, all those righteous men already mentioned [after mentioning Adam. Abel, Enoch, Lot, Noah, Melchizedek, and Abraham], though they kept no Sabbaths, were pleasing to God; and after them Abraham with all his descendants until Moses... And you [fleshly Jews] were commanded to keep Sabbaths, that you might retain the memorial of God. For His word makes this announcement, saying, "That you may know that I am God who redeemed you." (Dialogue With Trypho the Jew, 150-165 AD, Ante-Nicene Fathers , vol. 1, page 204)

  • 150AD JUSTIN: There is no other thing for which you blame us, my friends, is there than this? That we do not live according to the Law, nor, are we circumcised in the flesh as your forefathers, nor do we observe the Sabbath as you do. (Dialogue with Trypho 10:1. In verse 3 the Jew Trypho acknowledges that Christians 'do not keep the Sabbath.')

  • 150AD JUSTIN: We are always together with one another. And for all the things with which we are supplied we bless the Maker of all through his Son Jesus Christ and through his Holy Spirit. And on the day called Sunday there is a gathering together in the same place of all who live in a city or a rural district.... We all make our assembly in common on the day of the Sun, since it is the first day, on which God changed the darkness and matter and made the world, and Jesus Christ our Savior arose from the dead on the same day. For they crucified him on the day before Saturn's day, and on the day after (which is the day of the Sun the appeared to his apostles and taught his disciples these things. (Apology, 1, 67:1-3, 7; First Apology, 145 AD, Ante-Nicene Fathers , Vol. 1, pg. 186)

  • 155 AD Justin Martyr [W]e too would observe the fleshly circumcision, and the Sabbaths, and in short all the feasts, if we did not know for what reason they were enjoined [on] you--namely, on account of your transgressions and the hardness of your heart. . . . [H]ow is it, Trypho, that we would not observe those rites which do not harm us--I speak of fleshly circumcision and Sabbaths and feasts? . . . God enjoined you [Jews] to keep the Sabbath, and impose on you other precepts for a sign, as I have already said, on account of your unrighteousness and that of your fathers" (Dialogue with Trypho the Jew 18, 21).

  • 180AD ACTS OF PETER.- Paul had often contended with the Jewish teachers and had confuted them, saying 'it is Christ on whom your fathers laid hands. He abolished their Sabbath and fasts and festivals and circumcision.' (1: I)-2

  • 200AD BARDESANES: Wherever we are, we are all called after the one name of Christ Christians. On one day, the first of the week, we assemble ourselves together. (On Fate)

  • 200AD TERTULLIAN: We solemnize the day after Saturday in contradistinction to those who call this day their Sabbath. (Tertullian's Apology, Ch 16)

  • 200AD TERTULLIAN: It follows, accordingly, that, in so far as the abolition of carnal circumcision and of the old law is demonstrated as having been consummated at its specific times, so also the observance of the Sabbath is demonstrated to have been temporary. (An Answer to the Jews 4:1, Ante-Nicene Fathers Vol. 3, page 155)

  • 200AD TERTULLIAN: ...God originated Adam uncircumcised, and inobservant of the Sabbath, consequently his offspring also, Abel, offering Him sacrifices, uncircumcised and inobservant of the Sabbath, was by Him commended... Noah also, uncircumcised - yes, and inobservant of the Sabbath - God freed from the deluge. For Enoch, too, most righteous man, uncircumcised and inobservant of the Sabbath, He translated from this world... Melchizedek also, "the priest of most high God," uncircumcised and inobservant of the Sabbath, was chosen to the priesthood of God. (An Answer to the Jews 2:10; 4:1, Ante-Nicene Fathers Vol. 3, page 153)

  • 200AD TERTULLIAN: Others . . . suppose that the sun is the god of the Christians, because it is well-known that we regard Sunday as a day of joy. (To the Nations 1: 133)

  • 200AD TERTULLIAN: To us Sabbaths are foreign. (On Idolatry, 14:6)4

  • 220AD ORIGEN: On Sunday none of the actions of the world should be done. If then, you abstain from all the works of this world and keep yourselves free for spiritual things, go to church, listen to the readings and divine homilies, meditate on heavenly things. (Homil. 23 in Numeros 4, PG 12:749)

  • 225 AD The Didascalia: The apostles further appointed: On the first day of the week let there be service, and the reading of the Holy Scriptures, and the oblation, because on the first day of the week our Lord rose from the place of the dead, and on the first day of the week he arose upon the world, and on the first day of the week he ascended up to heaven, and on the first day of the week he will appear at last with the angels of heaven" (Didascalia 2).

  • 250AD CYPRIAN: The eight day, that is, the first day after the Sabbath, and the Lord's Day." (Epistle 58, Sec 4)

  • 250 AD IGNATIUS: ...those who were brought up in the ancient order of things have come to the possession of a new hope, no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord's Day, on which also our life has sprung up again by Him and by His death...And after the observance of the Sabbath, let every friend of Christ keep the Lord's Day as a festival, the resurrection-day, the queen and chief of all the days [of the week]. Looking forward to this, the prophet declared, "To the end, for the eighth day," on which our life both sprang up again, and the victory over death was obtained in Christ...(Epistle of Ignatius to the Magnesians, Chapter IX)

  • 250AD IGNATIUS: On the day of the preparation, then, at the third hour, He received the sentence from Pilate, the Father permitting that to happen; at the sixth hour He was crucified; at the ninth hour He gave up the ghost; and before sunset He was buried. During the Sabbath He continued under the earth in the tomb in which Joseph of Arimathaea had laid Him. At the dawning of the Lord's day He arose from the dead, according to what was spoken by Himself, "As Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly, so shall the Son of man also be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." The day of the preparation, then, comprises the passion; the Sabbath embraces the burial; the Lord's Day contains the resurrection. (The Epistle of Ignatius to the Trallians, chapter 9)

  • 250AD IGNATIUS: This [custom], of not bending the knee upon Sunday, is a symbol of the resurrection, through which we have been set free, by the grace of Christ, from sins, and from death, which has been put to death under Him..." (Ignatius, Fragments)

  • 300 AD Victorinus: The sixth day [Friday] is called parasceve, that is to say, the preparation of the kingdom. . . And let the parasceve become a rigorous fast, lest we should appear to observe any Sabbath with the Jews . . . which Sabbath he [Christ] in his body abolished. (The Creation of the World).

  • 300AD EUSEBIUS: They did not, therefore, regard circumcision, nor observe the Sabbath neither do we; … because such things as these do not belong to Christians." (Ecc. Hist., Book 1, Ch. 4)

  • 300AD EUSEBIUS: [The Ebionites] were accustomed to observe the Sabbath and other Jewish customs but on the Lord's days to celebrate the same practices as we in remembrance of the resurrection of the Savior. (Church History Ill.xxvii.5)

  • 300 AD Eusebius of Caesarea: They [the pre- Mosaic saints of the Old Testament] did not care about circumcision of the body, neither do we [Christians]. They did not care about observing Sabbaths, nor do we. They did not avoid certain kinds of food, neither did they regard the other distinctions which Moses first delivered to their posterity to be observed as symbols; nor do Christians of the present day do such things" (Church History 1:4:8).

  • 300 AD Eusebius of Caesarea: The day of his [Christ's] light . . . was the day of his resurrection from the dead, which they say, as being the one and only truly holy day and the Lord's day, is better than any number of days as we ordinarily understand them, and better than the days set apart by the Mosaic Law for feasts, new moons, and Sabbaths, which the Apostle [Paul] teaches are the shadow of days and not days in reality. (Proof of the Gospel 4:16:186)

---->It has nothing to do with the Sabbath

Revelation 14 clearly says otherwise, supported by the rest of scripture. I recently posted this, in part:

It is crystal clear that the MOTB issue is over WORSHIP, and who/why is worshipped (authority). Jesus Christ is worthy of our worship, BECAUSE HE IS OUR CREATOR/REDEEMER, and Creator of all. His mark/seal of authority is His Seventh-day-Sabbath, as spelled out in the 4th commandment, which is in direct opposition to the Mark of the Beast and Sunday worship. Those who mock me refuse to acknowledge the clear Sabbath language in Revelation 14, and the absolute fact that those who don't receive the MOTB are commandment keepers (and the faith of Jesus). The link between the two is undeniable, yet they deny it. To admit it means their belief system world is at an end and the SDA church is right, about everything. They can't have that. So, they mock.

Exodus 20:8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Revelation 4:10The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and WORSHIPED him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: FOR THOU HAST CREATED ALL THINGS, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Revelation 5:11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; 12Saying with a loud voice, WORTHY is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. 13And every creature which is in HEAVEN, and on the EARTH, and UNDER THE EARTH, and such as are IN THE SEA, AND ALL THAT ARE IN THEM, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. 14And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Revelation 10:5And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, 6And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

Now, compare the 3 Angels’ message about the MOTB and then who doesn’t receive it… (commandment keepers)

Revelation 14:6And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. 8And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

We are saved by FAITH, but judged by our WORKS.

Eccl 12:13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Revelation 11: 16And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and WORSHIPED God, 17Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. 18And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. 19And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

**JUDGEMENT, from the Lord God Almighty, who lives forever and ever (which are, and wast, and art to come), the standard being His great 10 commandment law (WHICH RESIDES IN THE ARK OF HIS TESTAMENT), which includes His seal, the 7th-day-Sabbath.

Flagged as Seventh Day Adventist source.

Yes, and perhaps we should not feed trolls and "one true church" cults, except to expose them.

——>It is a counterfeit of Father GOD, Son the GOD, and Holy Spirit the GOD.

I certainly agree with you there...counterfeit and authority.

“Sunday is our mark or authority...the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is
proof of that fact.” — Catholic Record of London, Ontario, September 1, 1923.

Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change was her act. It could not have been otherwise, as none in those days would have dreamed of doing anything, in matters spiritual, ecclesiastical and religious without her. This act is a mark of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters.

——>And as far as Some pope changing the 7th day from Saturday to Sunday that is a bunch of garbage especially when one does not considering it doesn’t matter which day you worship God and or which day you rest because as I mention Jesus Christ is our rest. It is a ritual and/or ceremonial law Jesus fulfilled.

The Catholic church certainly does claim to have changed the day of worship, and the law of God, from The 7th-day-Sabbath to Sunday. That is proof, and a MARK OF THEIR AUTHORITY over the bible (and God).

And, one needs to look no further than the Council of Trent.

The Sabbath commandment is right in the middle of the MORAL law. And, keeping God’s commandments doesn’t matter? Purposely breaking them is called LAWLESSNESS.

Matthew 7:21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

The fake Jesus will keep your Saturday .... he will claim to be the Sabbath ... come rest in him ... parable of the bramble

Jotham's Parable

7And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount Gerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.

8The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.

9But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?

10And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us.

11But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?

12Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us.

13And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?

14Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us.

15And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

Paul penned ICorinthians 10: 11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
