Overview of Daniel 9 and its Historical Context (538 B. C.)

As chapter 9 begins, Jerusalem was in ruins and the prophet was diligently studying the seventy year prophecy of Jeremiah 25:9-13. There was a specific reason why Daniel was studying this particular prophecy. Through Jeremiah, God had promised that the captivity of Israel would last only seventy years. But eleven years earlier, God had seemed to indicate that the sanctuary and the people would be trampled under foot for 2300 years (Daniel 8:14). This apparent discrepancy perplexed Daniel. He could not comprehend how the prophecy of Jeremiah 25 could be reconciled with the one in Daniel 8:14.

——>CULTIC SPAM

The Jews thought the same thing about Christ. Look where that got them.

Yeah, no thanks.
The seventh cult is not Jewish and has a false prophet.

But happy Thanksgiving.

So if you keep all 10 commandments, including the Sabbath, you are a cult? And if you believe what Protestants of old believed about who the counterfeit apostate religious power is, the Anti Christ (Papacy) you are a cult?

Seventh day Adventists are protestants and protestants on steriods. They are not afraid to publicy proclaim who the real AntiChrist is and where she resides and her agenda. And she hates the Sabbath too.

No.

But if you make keeping the commandments the basis for salvation, add non-inspired writings and a false prophetess, now your sect is cultic at best.

No. On fentanyl maybe.

Revelation 14:12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

SDA haters hate the Sabbath and anyone who keeps it.

Thanks for you posts, and you can’t convince those who are assured they are correct. Just be a witness to your view, and own it. Christ Yehoshua, Yeshua, Jesus took the place of the sacrifice. He did not say all of the commandments are moot.

The Holy Days of Moses, are there as teachers, as a rememberance. Without Torah instruction, people are lost IMO. That would also include the Jews, who now follow the precedence of their wise men of the Talmud.

It has much in common with the US Supreme Court. Instead of following the Law as written, it is changed by opinion.

It’s bizarre why they would hate the only day God himself declared holy and he did so at creation. Jesus...the Lord of the Sabbath. Amen. It’s the best day, the rest day, the blessed day and the test day. It’s the only commandment that tests our faith weekly. And it commands us to work the other days.....no lazy people in heaven.

Can you believe the hubris of some people in believing that open lawlessness against God’s law merits inclusion in the kingdom of God?

A certain Jew on this site claims that only a Jew can truly understand the OT and Hebrew. Claims Christians are liars and that the entire NT is a lie, written by liars. Yet, this Jew won’t answer questions that the only answer possible leads to Christ. He and his Rabbis just simply won’t talk about it. Daniel 9:24-27 leads directly to Jesus Christ, the Messiah (it also disproves dispensationalism)

When they say “law” they really only mean the Sabbath. They are only kidding themselves. God put the Sabbath commandment in the heart of the 10 commandments, the MORAL law, not the ceremonial Mosaic laws. And he put the Sabbath commandment in the heart of the moral law to reveal who is in fact the sole arbiter of morality.

The Creator and the Sabbath commemorates creation by a loving God in six literal days and the hallowing of the Seventh day.

God determines what is morally right and wrong. And the Sabbath is a sign of who this arbiter of right and wrong is. When we keep and observe his weekly holy Sabbath we are acknowleding we worship the creator alone and the sole arbiter of right and wrong.

They aren’t kidding anyone but themselves when they talk about “lawlessness”...just steal their car and suddenly the law is good. They are just picky choosy about their “law”..God isn’t. Ye offend in one, ye offend in all.

God don’t play that game.

The greatest OSAS/OJAJ apologist was Ravi Zacharias. I’ll do some research on his opinion of the 7th-day-Sabbath. However, his opinion on sin and entry into heaven, regardless, is well known, as is that of MOST evangelicals. Ravi certainly seemed to practice what he preached. Sins of the flesh all forgiven at the microsecond of grace. One and done, and now heaven bound, no matter how one lives their life afterwards. Adultery, rape, and fraud was not a problem. Already forgiven at the microsecond of grace. Yep, Ravi kept on truckin.

If you keep the 10 Commandments perfectly your whole life except right before you die you break one….Heaven or Hell?

Were they able to consciously repent? Normally, I would ask Elsie, because he knows everything about the bible. He would give a text and expect it to be crystal clear to anyone reading it, then say “there ya go.” (But don’t ask him for his opinion, because he probably won’t give it....just scripture)

I’m not dodging anything. I said...were they able to consciously repent? They lived a “perfect” Christian life up until they slipped up once at the very end? They were “perfect”? Perfect? Not one sin? Heaven or hell isn’t my call. But, sounds like the guy is going to be ok. Was the guy’s name Ravi?
