It has been brought to light that there is a commission of 14 members which dictated the Synod's final document; 7 of which represent a given earthly continent. The Continental Delegate from North America was announced as Catherine Clifford, Professor of Systemic and Historical Theology at Saint Paul University in Ottawa. She is the founding director of the Center for Research on Vatican II and 21st Century Catholicism there.
Ms. Clifford has composed pieces with many and varied titles, including, "Receptive Ecumenism as Transformative Ecclesial Learning: Walking the Way to a Church Re-formed," "The Priority of Social Justice at the Second Vatican Council:: Social Justice and the Common Good since Vatican II," "Re-Membering for a Common Future: Lutherans and Catholics Commemorate the Reformation, 2017," "A Joint Commemoration of the Reformation in 2017," and "Communities of Grace: A Theology for the Mutual Recognition of the Churches."
Per Ms. Clifford’s biography on the University’s website, "Her research interests and publications are focussed primarily in the areas of ecclesiology, ecumenism, and the history of the Second Vatican Council, with a particular emphasis on the understanding of conversion and renewal of the churches, the development of doctrines, and the unity and diversity of Christian communions within the world Christian movement. These questions are of great significance given the changing role of the church in contemporary society."
This is what the Vatican has chosen to represent North America as it pertains to the final document on this Synod. And we have to ask ourselves why.
Per a recent Catholic Register article:
"Clifford said she hopes that the open and honest discussions that the synod is intended to encourage will help the Christian community acknowledge that many traditional structures and practices that once served the proclamation of the Gospel in an effective manner may no longer fit that purpose.

However, change engenders fear, she said, especially when changes are seen to be disruptive or potentially destabilizing. Several challenging themes emerged in the global listening sessions, including widespread desires that the Catholic Church do more to welcome LGBTQ people and allow women to serve in leadership positions, including in ordained ministry. "
I would like to take this opportunity to remind Ms. Clifford that there is one... ONE Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church instituted by Our Lord Jesus Himself on the rock of Saint Peter... which the gates of hell shall not prevail against. Also, Ms. Clifford, the Protestant Rebellion was by no means a "reformation" in any sense of the word. Rather, it is and was a cancerous growth spreading discord, erroneous opinion, and heresy. Furthermore, the zeitgeist may change, but Immortal Truth does not. There is unfortunately a nefarious viewpoint pervading much of modern culture that individuals are able to make their own "truths." This is the quintessence of pride and narcissism itself. Our Lord Jesus (in the beginning, now, and forever) is "the way, the truth, and the life."
Please know that this article is not intended in any way to be a hit piece on Ms. Clifford. Rather, it's meant to bring to light that the ideology she imbues... this is what the Vatican has chosen to represent North America as it pertains to the final document on this Synod. And we have to ask ourselves why. Why, when we know by the Grace of the Holy Spirit, through Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, Sensus Fidelium, and the perennial teachings of Holy Mother Church... the Truth. And through His Grace, we also know a lie when we hear one.
Pope Saint Pius X immortally stated: "modernism is the synthesis of all heresies." Let all us pray, through his intercession, for Orthodoxy in the Church.
May the Name of Jesus be praised now and forever, and Deo Gratias.

Many times of course they ARE Rats, but some may not be.
The whole conference on "Synodality" grates on the nerves of any normal and any orthodox Catholic, and even more so Traditionals and those who love the Latin Mass.
It's because the whole bull$hit concept of 'synodality' has little or no meaning, the word is nonsensical, never seen or heard before this conference, and immediately indicates that the people using it are hiding something or trying to imbue significance or intellectual value to something that has none.
All of the above I get really hostile about when I see it happening.
Worse, words like this are often used as euphemism to hide REALLY bad things like OK'ing gay marriage in front of a Catholic Altar, which is what I suspect is going on, deep down.
As we all know, gay marriage is an abomination, in fact, it may be "...the abomination of desolation spoken of in the Book of Daniel" that Jesus specifically referred to.
And perhaps worst of all, words like synodality are accompanied by reams and reams of complete babbling bull$hit which the Vatican and the Church Hierarchy is known for. I am never impressed by it.
In the case of the Synodality Synod, I am really angry about it, angry that the Church's embrace of Communism is more and more solid every day, angry that the wealth of generations of flocks has been spent on lawsuits from perv priests who were protected nay encouraged in their perv careers for the past four decades.
Especially I'm pissed that every sermon is geared toward liberals and Rats, and is vaguely hostile to normals and conservatives, the latter who made up the whole Church Militant in decades past.
And the proof of what I say is election time; Rat Catholics vote for their abortion-mongering, illegal-immigrant/child-trafficking/drug-trafficking supporters and NGOs, and all the politicians who support them. Elections SHOULD be the times when the Catholic flock deals out severe judgment on liberal, communist, pro-choice, politicians, but in fact, the EXACT OPPOSITE happens, and people like Biden will go to communion, his Rat posse friends will get re-elected as usual, and we will be no further advanced in reforming the nation, all thanks to the Rat Communist Catholics sitting in the pews next to us, AND the Communist, lying priests who salve their fetid consciences, as they have always, always, done.
Sorry about the lengthy rant, please flame away if you wish.
What if there is a groundswell from the congregations in favor of the “many traditional structures and practices that once served the proclamation of the Gospel”? For example, the Latin mass which is being suppressed by the Pope and many bishops. Or is that type of synodality forbidden?
