Francis has often expressed his alleged "love for the peripheries", writes Carlos Esteban on InfoVaticana.com (10 October).
But this love does not include the peripheries of black Africa, perhaps because the continent has rejected Francis' homosexual manifesto "Fidicia supplicans".
For Esteban, it is a "striking anomaly" that Cameroon, with 4 million Catholics, a quarter of the population, has more than 1,200 priests and as many seminarians in formation, but not a single prelate in the College of Cardinals.
Nor does fertile Benin, with its three million Catholics, almost eight hundred priests and more than a thousand nuns.
Not even Nigeria, the true lung of the Catholic Church, with more than 40 million Catholics and many priests, seminarians and religious, and a strong faith tempered by constant persecution, has a single cardinal below the age of 80.
Francis prefers the artificial Church of North Africa, where white prelates imported from Western countries agree with Francis' homosexual decadence - like the Bishop of Algiers, the French Dominican Jean-Paul Vesco, pastor of some 4,000 souls, mostly non-Algerians, out of a total population of more than 45 million.
Estaban knows that the number of believers in Algeria will not increase under Vesco who recently claimed that "we must free ourselves from the idea that we must evangelise, that we must bring others to our truth, and at the same time accept that even in Islam there may be a part of the truth that escapes us".
It goes without saying that Vesco denies the indissolubility of Christian marriage.
The second "North African" cardinal, Cristóbal López Romero, a Spaniard whom Francis made a cardinal in 2020, is no better.
In 1950, his archdiocese of Rabat had 360,000 Catholics out of a total population of 9 million. Now there are 20,000 Catholics out of 33 million.
Vesco's polemics against evangelisation are already bearing "good fruit".

Catholics will go the way of the Episcopals and the Methodists in Africa.
“even in Islam...truth”??? These individuals may also be infected with the anti-truth, anti-freedom, anti-individual, anti-life totalitarian mind virus.
