NIFB pastor Steven Anderson was involuntarily committed to a mental institution for 24 hours, according to a since-deleted post from his Facebook page.
The controversial Arizona pastor from Faithful Word Baptist Church in Tempe, AZ, has been under fire these past few weeks after his four oldest children started speaking out publicly against the firebrand KJV-Onlyist, alleging vicious instances of domestic abuse against their mother, as well as physical and psychological abuse against themselves and their siblings, as can be seen in the articles below.
Anderson’s son Isaac made the initial claim that his father was institutionalized against his will.
As a result, Chris Segura preached the sermon that evening, saying that Anderson was having a night off, and he proceeded to mock Isaac as overweight and chubby.
Rather than condemn a sermon where a pastor trashed his son, Anderson praised it as a “absolute banger” that people shouldn’t miss.
Later on, Anderson posted to Facebook that a man named Lionel Keros had him institutionalized and held for 24 hours against his will. This post was quickly deleted, but we have a screenshot below. (0n link)
The details of how exactly this transpired remain unclear. According to Maricopa county’s website:
This person was actually one of Anderson's church members who was very concerned about him. Now this person has been kicked out of the church for doing this.
Tragic.
Sounds like this belongs in a gossip rag.
he's been in a battle lately as his 4 oldest children have turned against him.
So what does he do?
Last Sunday he did a sermon where he twisted scripture from the old testament on where it's okay for parents to kill their disobedient children. It's not okay in this day and age to get on a public platform and call for the death of your children or hint you might kill them in the name of religion. Does not matter if you are muslim or christian. he had this coming. I'm shocked he was not held for 72 hours or longer.
💯%.
This man is definitely a false teacher.
I have no idea what NIFB is.
I have no idea what NIFB is.
The Bible says something about if two or more witnesses come out and testify, well now 4 have come out against Steven Anderson how many more do we need?
he won’t step down because he’s a narcissist.
God is exposing the rot that has wormed its way into the body of Christ. Luke 8:17 -— “For nothing is concealed that will not become evident, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light”.
something Anderson created. It means New Independent Fundamental Baptist.
He thought all other IFB or Independent Fundamental Baptist churches were too liberal.
If it were only possible to find out somehow nowadays.
There’s always been rot. God could prevent it instead of exposing it, but apparently chooses not to.
Wonder why.
Northern Ireland Fire Brigade.
My best guess.
Free will. And, thanks Adam and Eve, sin in the world. Until He casts Satan into the lake of fire, there’s going to be sin in the world.
If we have free will, why would god expose corruption at all?
He knew they were corrupt before they even claimed to represent him.
Sounds like god’s fault.

FUZZ, you’re STILL a CHILD. You MIGHT understand these very BASIC Theological “MYSTERIES” when you reach puberty.
1 COR 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
King James Version (KJV)
“ You MIGHT understand these very BASIC Theological “MYSTERIES” when you reach puberty.”
Yeah, very basic I believed it when I was a child, but I am no longer a child and it makes no sense. I’m long past puberty.
If He hates sin, and for it to go away He just needs to cast Satan into the lake of fire, what’s taking so long?
