Has an interesting one about Japanese converts to Islam too
To: ifinnegan
Can you give us a small peek behind the Rice Paper screen?
Did they find it easier to achieve and maintain an optimistic view of life from Christianity vs Shinto or Buddhism?
Unfortunately, I hear Islam is ‘one of the fastest growing religions’ in Japan. Ugg.

Yes, ISlime is a cancer on our species.

Maybe churches would be more popular in Japan if they had Pachinko fund-raisers. LOL

You’re welcome. Thanks for saying so. I thought so too.I felt like I learned something but am not sure how to articulate it.

Only 1% of the Japanese population identifies as Christian.
Most identify as Buddhists, but not actively practicing.
I was glad to hear God is at work in Japan.
To: lee martell
Cause they are importing Muslims to work! There are so many places to recruit from, why Muslims?

I really love Japan after only one visit, but the more I reflect on my last visit and anticipate my next, the more sure I am that Japan needs Jesus. There's a certain aura of aimlessness.
I plant to be in 長崎, Nagasaki for the commemoration of Paul Miki and Companions this February.

There are millions of Thai, Vietnamese, Phillipino and other Asian people who, I think, would be willing and able to work for Japan while establishing residence. Maybe Japan is being paid by deep Arab pockets to accept these Muslims.

it’s tragic that the largest population of Japanese Christians was wiped out by the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki.

Japan has a very low percentage of Christians.
My brother lived in Japan for ~15 years, through the nineties up to '07. He told me he thinks the numbers are underreported for cultural reasons. He himself, the various places he lived, never had trouble finding a Christian church.
