I question 1984's results. Evangelicals went for RR 63% in 1980 but abandoned him in 1984??

I see 79% evang in 84, up from 67% in 80.

Billy Graham got along with all the presidents from Truman to Trump, including Kennedy, Clinton, Obama and both Bushes. He wasn’t a partisan figure or somebody who’d kick someone out of his church.

Nor would he take a hard position on divisive political issues. Call it political or heretical, the man did not stand up against abortion:

So naturally 'evangelicals' would tend to vote for him.




My religion determined that I would NOT vote for Mormon Mitt.

My politics determined that I would NOT vote for Obama, either.
