Daniel 9:27 with the Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 Added

Daniel 9:27 is always read and studied without the interjection of the MIGHTY Two Witnesses of Revelation; who will wield all power and Divine authority in the first half of the seven year tribulation; after the Rapture of the Church (the Called out Assembly of the Risen Lamb); leaving these Two out of this biblical equation is total folly and will produce a limited understanding of that time; Be objective, biblical, Jewish minded and Dispensational as you read the study below;

The Kingdom of Heaven is truly at hand!

DJP I.F.

Daniel 9:27/ Revelation 11

27 And he (the Prince) shall (will) confirm (mightily strengthen - gabor) the covenant (the pending pledge, agreement between two sides or parties, treaty of common interest between two; starting the 7 year tribulation period and the 70th week of Daniel) with many (an “abundance” of peoples (not nations) from all nations including Israel for a godless confederacy) for one week (one week of seven years): and at this same time the Two Witnesses of Revelation will begin their POWERFUL global Divine 1260 day ministry in RIGHTEOUSNESS and set up the Levitical sacrificial system and altar sacrifices which will point back to Yeshua’s RIGHTEOUS Person and Work (the Lamb) and His completed redemption in RIGHTEOUSNESS - Rev. 11)

and (after the Two Witnesses of Revelation’s DIVINE 1260 day global ministry - Rev. 11:3-7) in the midst of the week, he (the Prince; whose deadly wound was healed; will now be known as, and identified as, the wild beast; who now will be possessed by the Beast of the bottomless pit ) shall (execute the Two Witnesses and Lampstands/Olive Trees of Almighty God and then he will) cause the sacrifice (the act of sacrifice) and the oblation (the offering itself pointing to the Finish Work of Yeshua re-establish by the Two Witnesses), to cease (and in the ceasing of the ways pointing to ETERNAL LIFE through the Lamb Yeshua; shall he now institute his global 666 program, all for the purpose of ETERNAL desolation, damnation and defiance of all of earth’s remaining inhabitants) and for (the sole single purpose of ETERNALLY blacking out all Divine LIGHT of ETERNAL salvation in Yeshua and) the overspreading of abominations (wings of covering and protection of all that is ETERNALLY godless, lawless and ALL of its ETERNAL destructive fruits which leads to ETERNAL DEATH) he (the prince who’s deadly wound was healed and then possessed by the Beast from the bottomless pit) shall (will) make it (the altar) desolate (waste for just 42 months), even until the consummation, (to the end and completion of his very very brief 42 month demonic vain reign of the beast) and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate (that what is to be, will be of all those of this period who rebelled, rejected, were unrepented and receive the Mark of the Beast and aline with full knowledge his ETERNAL demonic godless rebellion and spiritual suicide).

In conclusion;

All of the Two Witnesses of Revelation’s prophetic warnings and Divine Word of this period will be totally fulfilled and confirmed by the return of Messiah Yeshua and the beast’s demise and ETERNAL perdition.

Daniel’s 70th Week Made Easy (and Biblical)

“(25) Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. (26) And after the sixty-two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and sanctuary. Its end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined. (27) And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. But in the middle of the week, he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate.” (Daniel 9:25-27 NKJV)

The 70 weeks is almost universally understood to be “70 weeks of years.” Thus, a “week” is 7 years. So, the whole prophecy took 70 x 7―or 490 years, if taken literally. Follow me carefully through this:

1. Most scholars think that the 70 “weeks” began in approximately 457 BC when King Artaxerxes decreed that the Israelites (who had not already done so) could return to Jerusalem from Babylonian exile (Ezra 7:12-26). If that’s correct, the end of the sixty-ninth week (483 years) ended about AD 27. The text says that after the sixty-two weeks (which is on top of the seven weeks from verse 25, totaling sixty-nine weeks), Jesus was “cut off” (crucified). This happened in history in about AD 30.

2. After that (“to the end”) there would be a war in which the city and sanctuary would be destroyed. When did that happen? ANSWER: AD 70. That reference to “the end” demands that the 70 weeks ended with the Jewish-Roman War in the first century.

3. The “end to sacrifice and offering” would apparently occur at the 70 ½ week point. That’s when the temple was destroyed in AD 70. The Jewish-Roman War began in AD 66, but the Romans retreated and the Jews claimed victory. Nero started over. He sent Vespasian and his son Titus for the final assault on Jerusalem. This assault began in February AD 67 and the temple was destroyed in August AD 70. That’s exactly 3 ½ years, or “half a week.” This is precisely the half of a week described in Daniel 9:27.

4. That’s the first half of the 70th week. What happened during the second half? The text doesn’t say. But it hints that the end of the war was coming (9:26). The Jewish-Roman War finally ended in AD 74 when the Romans finally took the fortress of Masada (AD 73) and defeating the remaining strongholds (AD 74). That was about 3 1/2 years from the destruction of the temple in AD 70. So, the whole seven-year 70th week was completed at that time. The war was the Great Tribulation of which Jesus spoke in Matthew 24 that would happen in his generation (Matthew 24:21, 34; Luke 21:20-24).

5. Who are the two “princes?” The first prince (9:25) is the “anointed one” or the Messiah Jesus, who atoned for iniquities. The second prince (“who was to come” in 9:26) may also have been Jesus (Acts 6:14), but conceivably was a different prince―the Roman general Titus, the one who destroyed the city and sanctuary.

6. When was the Abomination of Desolation (9:27) fulfilled? According to the text of Daniel 9, it had to be at the same time as the Jewish-Roman War. Jesus confirmed this, teaching that it would happen in his literal generation (Matthew 24:15, 34) coincident with Jerusalem being surrounded by armies (Luke 21:20-24, 32).

7. This timeline is consistent with Daniel 12 which describes “the time of the end” happening when the “power of the holy people would be shattered” (12:7) and the “regular burnt offering taken away” (12:11). Note that the “time, times, and half a time” of Daniel 12:7 is 3 ½ years and is consistent with the timeline of Daniel 9. These things happened in AD 70. This also perfectly matches Revelation 11:2 when the holy city would be trampled for 42 months―also 3 ½ years.

8. Was there a gap between the sixty-ninth and seventieth week? YES. The sixty-ninth week (483 years) ended in about AD 27. And the 490 years would fall at AD 34, but the ending events described in the text happened about four decades later at the Jewish-Roman War. So, the gap was about forty years. Thus, the prophecy is not strictly literal. The dispensational view of a gap of thousands of years is reading a presupposition into the text. That’s an illegitimate interpretation that makes a mockery of the clear teaching of the text and historical facts. The 70 weeks of Daniel unambiguously ends with the Jewish-Roman War, when God used to Roman army as the instrument for his vengeance against apostate Old Covenant Israel (Matthew 23:29-24:2; Luke 21:22).
