You either have the courage to answer that question, or you don’t.

LOL. Not a matter of courage, but of experience since I've been down this road a hundred times with anti-Catholics who aren't interested in the truth but are just here to quarrel. I'm too old and been through this too many times to be baited by someone who can't discuss things like a Christian or even a decent human being. If you have any further questions, see my tagline. Repeat as necessary.

——>I’ve been down this road a hundred times with anti-Catholics who aren’t interested in the truth but are just here to quarrel.

Then WHY ON EARTH would you post to me, in my thread, in the first place?

It’s a simple prophecy question that someone of your religious “experience” should be able to answer.

Ah, but I sense you are afraid of the truth, and naturally you should be, as it proves the Catholic church/Papacy to be the Antichrist power, as history clearly shows. Did I expect more from a Catholic like you? Nope. You do the same thing that the Evangelicals do when presented with truth, contradicting their false doctrines. They run and hide. The Little Horn ANTICHRIST power either came out of the Roman Empire, or it didn’t. Catholics know what follows if they answer yes. So, they run and hide.

First, you don't own this page; I can post on any thread I want. And like I said, I won't be baited into responding to the same old garbage.

Second, I didn't post primarily for you, since you are closed minded and filled with hate and it would be throwing pearls before swine. It is to point out to others who are open-minded and people of good will that what threads like this are all about is not Christian love, but using hate and bigotry to prop up ones own false version of "christianity." That some people are so insecure in their faith, they have to attack others.

I wonder if any of them would like to answer this elementry prophecy question, since you refuse to be baited? Or, will they not stand up for what they believe?

Irenaeus wasn’t alive at the time of the Papacy,

I just finished posting a quotation from him saying that EVERY church must be in agreement with the Church founded by Peter and Paul at Rome. Immediately after that quotation he listed the bishops of Rome down to his own day, with whom, he says, EVERY church must be in agreement. How much more Papacy do you need?

and I’ve never said that he thought the Papacy was Antichrist.

Why does your ridiculous article quote him then?

The whole Justinian nonsense is silly. All of Chalcedonian Christendom (i.e., excluding the Nestorian sect in Iraq and the Copts, Armenians, etc.) recognized the Pope as the head of the Church when Justinian was in his diapers.

John and Daniel have predicted the dissolution and desolation of the Roman Empire, which shall precede the end of the world and the eternal Kingdom of Christ.

Roman Empire v 1.0, died AD 476.

Roman Empire v 2.0 (Greek Edition), died AD 1453.

Roman Empire v 3.0 (German Edition), died AD 1806.

Sure enough, preceded the end of the world . Check it off the list.

No, making up your false philosophy.

Are you denying that Seventh day Adventists hold that Jesus is the angel Michael?

Which one broke up into 10 kingdoms ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE? Which one did the PAPACY rule from?

Roman Empire v 1.0, died AD 476....YEP.

Roman Empire v 2.0 (Greek Edition), died AD 1453. NOPE

Roman Empire v 3.0 (German Edition), died AD 1806. NOPE

Your church is the Antichrist power. It is historical fact. Every descriptive criteria points to the Papacy/Catholic church.

Unfortunately, he was wrong about what the church is and is not, and who runs it ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE. I’m sure that rumor was started by these people...

Acts 20:29For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

THE RESTRAINER OF THE ANTICHRIST:

“John and Daniel have predicted the dissolution and desolation of the Roman Empire, which shall precede the end of the world and the eternal Kingdom of Christ.”

Irenaeus was talking about Daniel 7 (and John in Revelation)

The bible CLEARLY states that the Antichrist comes out of the ROMAN EMPIRE. The Papacy came out of the ROMAN EMPIRE.

The ROMAN EMPIRE was the restrainer of the antichrist, which then arose after its breakup into 10 kingdoms. Antichrist rose up among those 10 kingdoms. Then in 538 it had full control of religious and civil authority, given to it by Constantine.

I wonder what Irenaeus would say if he were alive today and had the benefit of seeing history? 100% guaranteed he would call the Catholic church/Papacy the Antichrist power. IT MEETS EVERY DESCRIPTIVE CRITERIA.

Which means absolutely nothing, until Justinian gave the Catholic church RELIGIOUS AND CIVIL POWER TO RULE and persecute, which they did for exactly 1260 YEARS to the month.

538 - 1798, TO THE MONTH.

That is ridiculous.
The papacy was creater by Christ and existed at the same time as the Roman Empire.
When the empire died it remained and still remains.
Your Protestant revolution didn’t do a thing and promoted this theory to justify it’s own rebellion.
If anything came out of us it’s your rebellion and sects, and would be the source of the antichrist.

I notice that you use 360 days per year to get the 1260. Then you use our calendar for 1260 years. Our calendar uses 365.24 days per year. What correction do you offer?

Days and weeks are the same length; months and years are not the same length.

Yes, a 13th month was added every few years to line up lunar and solar calendars.

Seven_0 from post 249: You are saying that the little horn ruled from 538AD to 1798AD or 1260 years.
What allows you to use 365.24 day per year instead of the 360 days per year that you insist on?

• Solar year = 365 days or 12 months/lunations long.
• 1st Lunar year = 354 days long, or 12 lunations long. (Eleven days shorter than the solar year.)
• 2nd Lunar year = 354 days or 12 lunations long. (Now 22 days shorter than the solar year.)
• 3rd Lunar year = 384 days or 13 lunations long. This now catches up with the solar year.

Read the evidence in Ezekiel for yourself. And, IF YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND IT, read what other people have written on the subject, who do. (Del/7)

——>The papacy was creater by Christ and existed at the same time as the Roman Empire.

Did the Catholic Church, during the Roman Empire rule, have religious AND civil power? Did it have power to persecute heretics? NO, IT DID NOT. Justinian took care of that.

The Papal Supremacy lasted from EXACTLY 538 - 1798. 1260 years, TO THE MONTH.
