If someone else owns something that you use, you are either a parasite or live in a communist system.
Quit pushing off responsibility on someone, anyone, else. This is a major, perhaps fatal, aspect of some religious cultists — “Ain’t my fault, Devil made me do it.”
Or you’re a steward, renter, or borrower and have a responsibility to care for and/or maintain that thing.
You present a false premise of there being only two options.
