Please do not confuse leftist ELCA with us conservative Lutherans!
An older lady I volunteer with is ELCA, conservative in many ways, but she’s approving of another female coworker who is marrying a woman. She’s also shocked that I’m not approving of female pastors.
There are several good, solid theological reasons to oppose female pastors. I do not disparage those reasons.
However, I have also observed a most persuasive practical reason to oppose female pastors: The females who most loudly clamor for the approval of female pastors are manifestly unfit for ministry.
