Yes laws do make a choice for everybody. That is the nature of living in a society. In America we have more individual freedoms than in most countries. You have a choice when picking a country, a state, a community. Once you pick it you abide by the laws or face consequence. That is not even remotely the same as an individual’s morality controlling the morality of others.
We may differ. I do not believe my morality should be applied to everyone, nor do I wish it could be. I believe in God’s plan with free choice and the ability to sin, to repent, and to be forgiven.
Enacted laws (as opposed to nebulous "executive orders") are not a result of "one person's morality"--that would be dictatorship; they are largely a result of a body of individuals who share common interest who make their case that such and such a law should be enacted and enforced as a community value, either through their representatives by legislation or through a popular vote. As citizens we have the right to join forces with like-minded individuals to enact, change, or abolish laws for the common good.
