The left will always be the first to criticize the right for “mixing religion with politics,” yet, the left is far more guilty of this than we are. In fact, not only is the left guilty of this, but they use their religion as a tool to advance very un-Christian ideologies, twisting the Scriptures beyond recognition.
Mount Airy Church of God in Christ in Philadelphia hosted Joe Biden this past weekend where Biden preached a very familiar gospel—a false gospel called Black Liberation Theology.
Black Liberation Theology, birthed from the civil rights era and popularized by James Cone at Union Theological Seminary, twists Christian theology to focus on black oppression and social justice. It’s a false gospel because it exchanges Christ’s redemptive work on the cross for worldly liberation. It pushes a man-centered agenda, turning the gospel into a mere tool for political activism.
We all know he didn’t write this speech himself, but it was fascinating listening to Biden repeat such things. Listening to Biden pander to this church with such antics raises the question: who put him up to this? To be clear, Biden’s brain doesn’t work this way, or at all. So for him to push what is clearly the tenets of Liberation Theology at a black church during a campaign rally is, well, bewildering.
In Delaware, I attended a morning mass in my church and head to Sunday services at black churches I said early on. I’ve always felt the power of your faith in good times and in tough times. The fact is, the scripture says, all things work together for good.
To those who love God are now called according to His purpose. Our purpose is to serve others. That’s our purpose. To know everyone is entitled to be treated with dignity and respect. To know faith without works is dead.
After preaching about how “faith without works is dead,” he then goes on to list off his list of “accomplishments” for blacks.
In my life and as your president, I’ve tried to walk my faith. To get us through the pandemic, I claimed a million loved ones and left eight million people with an empty chair at dinner or breakfast because of someone they lost.
To ensure that the economy has the lowest black unemployment and more black small businesses in decades. To rebuild and ensure black America has a peace of mind that comes with health care for everybody.
To ensure you can follow your dreams without the burden of student debt. To make housing affordable, help more black families build wealth and pass it on through generation. To keep our community safe by getting weapons of war off our streets.
To give hate, no safe harbor. While there are those who want to erase history, Common and I want to make it. Because black history is American history. Of course, there’s more to do to deliver jobs injustice. There’s more to do. But above all, we need to protect our rights, the rights of all Americans, to make sure democracy works for you.
Never see him visit a church other than black churches.
President Retard is the first black vice president
Did he watch the “Praise the Lord” scenes in Coming to America?
To the left, their politics *is* their religion, whether or not preached in a church.
No he read a teleprompter that had a message of black liberation theology running on it.....chances are he he had no idea what the hell he was reading.
Black Liberation Theology
aka
Critical Race Theory
aka
communism
spit.
Shilling for Obama as usual.
“You colored folks will never be free unless you vote for me!”
(...Now how do I find my way out of this racial jungle?)
“You colored folks will never be free unless you vote for me!”
That is the whole motto of the Democrat party
Identifying as a black woman, I guess he’s well suited for this pitch.
Joe is supposedly a devout Catholic. A devout Catholic doesn’t fulfill their obligation by attending a Protestant service. So at which Catholic churches has Biden been attending Mass?
He such a phony. Jill, too.
I guess this ‘church’ didn’t see that video of Biden glad-handing a bunch of supporters... except for conspicuously skipping/avoiding over the only black person — a young woman == in the entire scene.
Theonomic positivism would solve this whole problem.
Didn’t Senator Joe Biden violently oppose the Civil Rights bill when they were trying to pass it in Congress?
During the collection, a black pastor went up to Biden and gave him money to put in the collection.
This same church, showing how corrupt it is and its leadership, would never welcome Donald J Trump who has employed hundreds if not thousands of black construction workers over the course of projects on his various properties. Real jobs. Not government handouts. Not walking around money on Election Day. Real jobs with benefits. But they open their arms to this old white guy in the White House who has never created a job in his life and tells black people they’re not black unless they vote for him.
How is that church maintaining a tax free status? OH. It’s (D)ifferent.
Like when holder sent his thugs to churches to show them how to skirt tax laws and be big democrat party political machines.
Biden states, “To know faith without works is dead.” That is not the Pauline message. Faith is the determinate.
