Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem
Oh LORD, Our God,
How Excellent is Your Holy Name!
How Wonderful,
How Perfect,
and How Hallowed!
You Alone Are Worthy of Praise and Worship,
For You Alone Are The Most High God,
The One True God Of Abraham!
We Thank You For Your Most Holy Word,
Which is So Righteous and True,
And So Enlightening in these Troubled and Perilous Times.
We also pray for Ourselves, Dear Father.
We Pray for Personal Resolve Within Our Hearts
that We Will Not be Tempted to "Go With The Flow",
as Things Get More Difficult.
Keep us from temptation and deliver Us from Evil.
Let all that has been Concealed
Be Revealed.
Father, We Pray For The Peace Of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.
We Pray That You Will Forgive The Sins
of Our Own Nation,
and Lead us all to Godly Repentance.
Create in Us Clean Hearts, Oh LORD,
and Renew a Right Spirit Within Us.
This we Pray Together,
As We Await Your Messiah,
Blessed Be He,
To Set Up His Kingdom,
And Make All Things Right.
God Bless America.

Psalm 111
1 Praise the Lord!
I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,
in the company of the upright, in the congregation.
2 Great are the works of the Lord,
studied by all who delight in them.
3 Full of honour and majesty is his work,
and his righteousness endures for ever.
4 He has gained renown by his wonderful deeds;
the Lord is gracious and merciful.
5 He provides food for those who fear him;
he is ever mindful of his covenant.
6 He has shown his people the power of his works,
in giving them the heritage of the nations.
7 The works of his hands are faithful and just;
all his precepts are trustworthy.
8 They are established for ever and ever,
to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.
9 He sent redemption to his people;
he has commanded his covenant for ever.
Holy and awesome is his name.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding.
His praise endures for ever.

The Names and Titles of God (“The Only Begotten Son”) John 1:18

Last Christmas, my two Nephews and Niece-in-Law gave two of my sisters and me tickets to see the Rolling Stones. It was sixty years since the Stones had appeared on TV for the first time, and although my late husband was a big fan, we never got to see them in person. This was a particularly special concert, as it was the 100th Stones Concert in that particular venue, and the band had been the first act to play there when the stadium opened nearly sixty years ago. As Mick Jagger remarked from the stage, "We played here before the Patriots did!"
I had never been to the Stadium before, and we were on the Floor, so we could look up and around and see the 50,000 fans (mostly Boomers like me) singing along and swaying to the music. What was particularly nice was that everybody raised their cell phone flashlights in the dark, for a heavenly encore of "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" from the Stones latest album. Security had been so strict that all people could bring in was a wallet and cell phone, so the cell phones were put to good use during this uplifting song. The spirituality of the song made me wonder what Mick and Keith have on their minds these days. After all, they are both in their 80's. They may LOOK old, but they still rocked. Mick's dance moves showed no signs of aging at all, but...nobody lives forever.
Well, actually we ALL live forever in a way, so the next question is, "Where Do You Want To Spend Eternity?"
Back in the 1970's and 1980's, a trend was happening in big Stadiums like the one in Foxboro MA. Security was not so tight in those days, and often, football fans would unfurl huge banners that said this:
JOHN 3:16.
Unless a Person went to the kind of Sunday School that emphasized Scripture memorization along with Chapter and Verse Numbers, he would not understand what that meant. It wasn't until I started reading the Bible myself in 1981 that I found the answer to the mystery.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)
Aha! So that was what the banner meant! It would have been nice to get an explanation earlier in life, but I suppose it would have been impossible to get all of that on one banner.
While we were waiting for the concert to begin, and it was still daylight, I felt a "spiritual" presence and it wasn't a nice one. I looked in the direction of the "vibe" and saw the source of my discomfort. It was a skinny, youngish, geeky looking guy wearing a Keffiyeh around his neck. While normally, in happier times, such a scarf would be a Hippie decoration, that has now become a symbol of hatred, misogyny, and antisemitism. To me, it's the same as a swastika. I pointed out the guy to my sisters and told them to watch out for him.
During the concert, one of my sisters had to find a Ladies Room right at the beginning of a song that many people feel has satanic lyrics. Sure enough, at the intro of the song, Kaffiyeh-Man rushed the stage, bumping into my other sister, and just barely touching me. I rebuked the spirit and he ran off, but it was a very disturbing experience. My sister was a little shaken and I remarked,
"It's ok...he was just worshiping his god."
But we both had goosebumps.
Unfortunately, that keffiyeh was the only "banner" that was allowed into the venue. A nice big "John 3:16" banner would not have been allowed, but that's OK because I have the Word of God hidden in my heart.
In Today's Scripture, and also in John 3:16, Jesus is called "The Only Begotten Son". While Believers are called "sons" and "children of God, there is only ONE "Only Begotten Son" of God. And it was in the Name of Jesus, the Only Begotten Son of God, that I was able to rebuke and chase off that sniveling little geek that almost ruined the concert for us. Poor Kid, I hope he gets delivered soon...see, l have some sympathy, some courtesy, and even a little taste.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.
For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. (Mark 4:22)
God Bless America.
Blessings To All Who Visit This Garden of Prayer.
Hallelujah and Amen

Hey...I just thought of something.
IF my nephews and niece hadn’t given us the tickets, we would not have been at that concert.
IF we hadn’t been at that concert, would anybody else have discerned the spirit that torments Keffiyeh-Man?
IF the Stones hadn’t done that particular song in the line-up, would Keffiyeh-Man have rushed the stage and bump into me and my sister?
IF Keffiyeh-Man hadn’t bumped into me, would I have rebuked the spirit that was tormenting him?
IF you hadn’t posted what you just did, would we be praying for that young man’s deliverence RIGHT NOW?
A good illustration of how God knows the Beginning and the End because He IS the Beginning and Tthe End.
