Strangely enough, it’s the daughter congregation of the Lutheran Church in America (its other parents included the American Lutheran Church and the Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches).

That was a long time ago.
Davey and Goliath were produced by United Lutheran Church in America. Which became just LCA after merging with some other churches in 1962.
In 1988 it merged with others and became this ELCA.
