The priest who did our marriage later did that. We saw him some years later and asked him what happened. He said he went into the seminary right out of high school and had not the life experience to evaluate his calling. Later, when marriage and family life became a real possibility, he wanted that more.
I think he may have eventually been laicized though. He continued to be observant.
