The issue is GOD’s faithfulness to an unfaithful Israel. Israel will face punishment for it’s infildelty during the Great Tribulation.
I agree with that.
The downside of being chosen is being held to a higher standard and punished more severely for straying.
I think this is also a risk for America specifically, and other nations who proclaim themselves specially chosen by God. The price for straying is likely to be more severe.
