Yes it did, but the old one is not cancelled, I think.
Just as the Noahic covenant was not cancelled by the Abrhamaic one.
The children of Israel have wandered away from the Lord even from the very get-go In Egypt despite all the miracles they witnessed. Even so, the Lord keeps his promises. The Lord said to Abraham, “Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies... (Genesis 22:17).
We see that happening this very day in Gaza. The Lord’s word is perfect. He patiently waits for His children to come back to Him.
