Want to take a test for self-righteousness? No? Here it is anyway....... ;-)
Is there anyone that you think you are better than? Anyone?
If so - you are self-righteous. You do not know your own heart, which is “deceitful above all things.” as Paul did.
How about Hitler? Think you are better than he? You are self-righteous.
Those who have seen and know the Lord deeply know the blackness of their own hearts - like Isaiah in Isaiah 6.
And the more we know our own blackness, the more we know how great His love, mercy, grace and forgiveness.
That reminds me of the old saying *There, but for the grace of God, go I*.
That’s a good test. Unfortunately there’s an explosion of self obsession and self righteousness going on during this late time of the age. It’s truly satanic.
