What has been replaced is not the Jewish people but the Old Covenant. The New Covenant in Jesus Christ is open to Jews and non-Jews alike. There are not two covenants; only one.
Literal Israel rejected the New Covenant. Their end came when they stoned Stephen and once and for all rejected Christ as their Savior.
