Mr. Gentili, born in Argentina (where else?) in 1972,
was celebrated as a "puta"(whore) and "travesti" (transvestite),
and also as a haloed "blessed" "mother" in a
funeral novus ordo service held this week
in Saint Patrick's Cathedral, New York
Perhaps no accusation against the rite of the Latin Church for over 17 centuries (the naturally developing Traditional Latin Mass), in its various local and order-specific rites and uses, is more ridiculous than that it is “ideological”, or that the people who attend it are “ideologically motivated”.
No, they are just people who want to worship Almighty God as He had been worshiped in the West basically since Mass started being celebrated in Latin. They are the very opposite of ideological: they are humble enough to want to be part of a very long line of Catholics.
The committee-created pseudo-liturgical concoction known as the “New Order of the Mass”: now THAT is something else, something clearly motivated by a man-centered ideology, falsified history, and a myriad of modernist causes.
And it reached its inevitable end game in the most symbolic Catholic building in what still is the most powerful country in the world, the city that is the headquarters of the very United Nations whose existence filled with a false hope for a “better future” the conciliar fathers of Vatican II.
The pews of St. Patrick’s Cathedral were packed on Thursday for an event with no likely precedent in Catholic history: the funeral of Cecilia Gentili, a transgender activist and actress, former sex worker and self-professed atheist whose memorial functioned as both a celebration of her life and an exuberant piece of political theater.
Over 1,000 mourners, several hundred of whom were transgender, arrived in daring outfits — glittery miniskirts and halter tops, fishnet stockings, sumptuous fur stoles and at least one boa sewed from $100 bills. Mass cards and a picture near the altar showed a haloed Ms. Gentili surrounded by the Spanish words for “transvestite,” “whore,” “blessed” and “mother” above the text of Psalm 25.

At one point, a friend of Ms. Gentili’s took the lectern to pray for access to gender-affirming health care. At another, a mourner upstaged a priest singing “Ave Maria,” changing the lyrics to “Ave Cecilia.” She then danced through the aisles, red scarves twirling around her.
The Novus Ordo is so ideologically committed to its own man-centeredness that a celebration of all that is perverted and sinful in man is its inevitable end. So, the "Whore Funeral", and similar celebrations (as the new Papally approved "homosexual couple" blessings) are an absolutely inevitable conclusion to its trajectory.

Ah, but cathedral officials didn’t even notice what was going on (the presence of CNN cameras notwithstanding) until thousands of Catholics sent angry notes indicating that they (in the words of the semi-chastened priests at the cathedral)”share our outrage” over the spectacle those same priests had just facilitated.

I am dumbfounded that the church let it occur....but homosexuality and all of its perverse off shoots seems to be the popes crowd nowadays....I see it as satans minions blindly being consumed by their own actions.

I watched the clips at the site, and it was obvious that the officiating priest knew EXACTLY what was going on. He pandered to the crowd and chuckled, enjoying the whole pagan spectacle. Any claim of ignorance by cathedral officials is a lie.
Anyone complicit in this is a follower of the father of lies.
Looks like St. Patrick’s priests have managed to widen the gate, enlarge the eye of the needle, divide the Kingdom against itself, make fishermen keep the bad with the good fish, fertilize rocky places and gardens of thorns, proclaim the Gospel for those who have poor ears and bad eyes, and let the sheep wander wherever they like.
