Hair splitting. Not a dime’s worth of difference between an annular eclipse and a total eclipse. The swath of darkness is smaller with an annular eclipse.

And especially when trying to shoehorn Biblical propheseys into the equation.

I’ve seen both. There is a lot of difference between total and not total. In any case, the OP specifies that he is referring to the total eclipses of 2017 and 2024.
