I’m not Catholic so I will ask to pick your bran. If the church was to break apart over this or any number of other reasons (which seems to be where this is going) how do you think the breakdown would come out?
What percentage of the flock would stay with the traditional values of the church and the percentage that would go with progressive side?
Perhaps I’m off base, but I would guess that the progressive wing is around 10% of the total, their just louder and more annoying.
50% of Catholics vote libtard. You’re in for a rude awakening
Recent polling I’ve seen indicates about 40% would remain Orthodox while 60% would side with Rome.
The good news is that 75% of Seminarians poll as “traditional”.
What I take this to mean is that assuming there’s a schism, a break with Rome, the Traditional remnant will thrive and the Rome sect will die on the vine over time.
A lot hinges on the ability of the Traddie Cardinals to elect a schismatic Pope to maintain Apostolic succession. Then, as Rome sinks into the irrelevance of apostasy, the legitimate church will supercede it.
