Francis starts out with a kernel of a good idea. To draw people in irregular marriages and homosexual relationships back to God and to the Church.They don't care about saving souls, all they care about is the Sunday count, and they think this will refill the baskets. It'd be stupid if it weren't so insipid: homosexuals don't want God, they just want God's approval. Francis is trying to have it both ways-- yikes for him.
I don’t think they really care about collections with the exception of Peter’s Pence. If they cared about collections they’d leave the Latin Mass parishes with big collections alone. They take Mercy too far and start watering down truth. At the most basic level, their faith is weak and in crisis.
