I am talking about normal Christians who do have a working mind. It is a sin for them not to use it. Sure, some folks might be smarter or brighter than others – maybe even have higher IQs and the like. But that is still no excuse. Some Christians will just have to work harder at this and put more effort into it. This is true of all areas of life. In Christ we are to grow and mature in all spheres.
The English humourist P. G. Wodehouse once said: “Some minds are like soup in a poor restaurant—better left unstirred.” On a more serious note, the renowned English Christian John Stott said this: “Knowledge is indispensable to Christian life and service. If we do not use the mind that God has given us, we condemn ourselves to spiritual superficiality and cut ourselves off from many of the riches of God’s grace.”
Yet my title may concern some folks. ‘Wow, did he just say it is a sin not to think? Yes I did.

Don't be a bunny.
Thinking is a path to knowledge and insight.
When we don't use our minds, we close off an opportunity for the Holy Spirit to reveal things to us. And if we don't use our minds to study and understand Scripture, we can't grow in our understanding of God's message to us.
As the Bible says quite clearly in Proverbs 4:5, "Get wisdom, get understanding."
The human brain is like a muscle in that if you don't use it, it gets soft and flabby. The good thing is that, like a muscle, if you start to use it again after a period of non-use, it will regain strength...and keep on getting stronger and stronger.
Don't let people tell you that some people just aren't smart. EVERYONE CAN GET SIGNIFICANTLY SMARTER AND WISER BY STUDYING.
Being mentally lazy, coasting, or skimming the surface makes one's mind soft and flabby. Be a digger.

I saved the article and will read later (i am traveling), but I caught the last sentence.
And I agree. This has troubled me greatly.
… add to your faith… knowledge…2 Peter 1:5
Knowledge is just the beginning. God’s people should also have understanding, and most of all, wisdom.
2Ti 2:15 - Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

lack of this leads to preterism.
We’ve been indoctrinated to be led by our wicked hearts through a woke revolution of demoralizaton and degradation. Do as thou wilt! The prince of this world doesn’t want the Holy Spirit transforming our minds. It’s a battle.
