Intelligent commentary will have to wait until after I have read the book ...
“Can a successor of Peter fail in his office...”
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Pope Crazy Frank, the affirmative answer to the question.
the substitution of “a people on the move” for “the mystical body” and of a panreligious humanistic fraternity for the salvific Christian mission;Sounds like some lame political slogan, "We're a people on the move!" -- and I guess that's exactly what it is.
Sounds like it to me.
"You are Rock, and upon this rock I will build My Church."
It’s a logical progression from deferring them to the nearest Sunday, as too many bishops already do.
You are attempting to fix what is broken for God. But God asks you to be obedient to his vicar and pray and fast and do pennance until GOD chooses to rectify this and how He chooses. Trust in Jesus, “he leadeth me” as Fr Cheisak said. You shrink and join yoyr cross to Jesus, let God do. This is a test of each of us, our faith.
How is one being disobedient to Christ's vicar if they continue to honor the Holy Days as days of obligation?
How is one being disobedient if they hold on to the belief that marriage is for life; and divorce and remarriage is still adultery, a mortal sin?
How is one being disobedient if they object to the blessing of sodomite unions?
How is one being disobedient when they refuse to choose homos or transvestites to godparents of their children?
It's not a matter of obedience or disobedience to Jorge Bergoglio, it's a matter of holding on to the faith of our fathers.
But according to Bergoglio’s new motu proprio, Christmas Day, if it falls on a weekday, may not even be obligatory because the obligation is "antiquated"; and an “extra-biblical burden”.
I stand second to none in my disdain for Bergoglio but that has the appearance of a hoax.
That does rather beg the question, now doesn't it?
And remember when we were assured that Bergoglio's survey of the world's bishops on the reception of the TLM in their parishes had no nefarious motives?
