The Pope is not this stupid. This is a deceptive statement.

The Contemplative Orders do a great deal more than pray (which is very important in its own rite.

The Contemplative Orders also study the faith and teach the next generation of Catholics.

Both of these functions are invaluable to the continuation of the faith.

If Pope Francis has set his sights on the Contemplative Orders I know that he has set his sights on Christ Church and intends its destruction.
