Latin is the official language of the universal Church. Exorcists explain that demons, being rigorous about rules and laws under which they can operate, are much more easily controlled by prayers in Latin. Exorcists are absolutely required to pray certain of the exorcism prayers in Latin. It makes sense that anti-Christians would hate Latin.

Then He sent His Holy Spirit to his followers so they (and us) could do the works He did.

“Greater works” I imagine because there would be a lot of followers (Christians) to carry on the works of Jesus.

He is in us and we are in Him so Jesus works through us.
