DAY 713: CLEANSING AND HEALING THE TONGUE
The Return ^ | November 16, 2023

The prophet Isaiah provides us with an example of how we can heal our tongue.

1. Isaiah drew near to the Lord and prayed for a vision of God’s holiness. “I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up” (Isaiah 6:1, NKJV).

Anyone who wants to live a life that pleases God must constantly go into his presence until he sees God’s holiness. All healing, true blessings and victories begin at his throne. That is where we see God in his holiness!

2. While standing in God’s holy presence, Isaiah was deeply convicted for having unclean lips. “Then I said: ‘Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts’” (Isaiah 6:5).

Why did Isaiah cry out, “I am a man of unclean lips”? It was because he had seen the king of glory. God’s presence exposes everything that is unlike him.

3. Isaiah allowed the Lord to touch him and cleanse him with his sacred fire. “Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: ‘Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged’” (Isaiah 6:6-7).

God’s Word is a live coal, and the Holy Spirit is its fire. Right now you have been touched by the Holy Spirit through this message, and God wants to purify you with its flame. He can do it if you will let his Word reach your innermost being. He is the only one who can do it. Your part is simply to confess, as Isaiah did, “Woe is me, I am unclean.”

I pray that the power of God’s Word will touch and purify you. Confess, “Yes, it is me, Lord; I will not let this conviction pass me by. Cleanse my mouth and my heart.”

First, the phrase “unclean lips” is why Jesus used the phrase in Matthew 15:

7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:

8 “‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
9 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.”

10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand.

11 What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”

Next, the Holy Spirit is mild in its cleansing ability and level of fire in comparison to God Himself.

The Holy Spirit, while it can burn you, is soft and mild in comparison to the Fire of God that can burn you to a crisp like He did the burning bush near Moses.

If we hold onto sin and try to approach the Fire of God, we will feel and perceive that we are burning in hell.

This is the same consciousness that the demons and unclean spirits fear will destroy them and what flows through us when we do exorcisms.

After I died, went to Heaven, met God, and then returned to my body, my thoughts began to manifest. It was very powerful flowing through me. At first it was fun, but I quickly realized that while my thoughts that spilled out of me could heal, they also could kill and harm people.

Anyone whose thoughts spilling out of their lips can heal, can also kill. Thoughts manifest. Jesus explained this when He spoke of moving mountains.

So I fell to my knees and cried and begged God to take this ability away. I was not ready for it. I would sooner die my own death than harm someone else, and that would happen if I allowed myself to get angry and my thoughts manifested.

Thankfully, God removed the ability that I was not ready for.

This ability had manifested in me merely because I was in the presence of God, not due to anything I did.

These words and experiences are more real than the physical body I use to type these words. It is a lower energy of the Holy Spirit that works through me now.

🙏

The feeling you have toward me in your heart right now as you read the above posts is exactly what Jesus and Isaiah were warning about coming out of your lips.

1 Peter 1:13-17 (AV; bolding added for emphasis)

13Wherefore, having the loins of your mind girt up, being sober, trust perfectly in the grace which is offered you in the revelation of Jesus Christ.
  14As children of obedience, not fashioned according to the former desires of your ignorance,
15But according to him that hath called you, who is holy, be you also in all manner of conversation holy16Because it is written: You shall be holy, for I am holy.
  17And if you invoke as Father him who, without respect of persons, judgeth according to every one's work: converse in fear during the time of your sojourning here.

Take Time To Be Holy
Take time to be holy, speak oft with thy Lord;
Abide in Him always, and feed on His Word.
Make friends of God’s children, help those who are weak,
Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek.

Take time to be holy, the world rushes on;
Spend much time in secret, with Jesus alone.
By looking to Jesus, like Him thou shalt be;
Thy friends in thy conduct His likeness shall see.

Take time to be holy, let Him be thy Guide;
And run not before Him, whatever betide.
In joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord,
And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His Word.

Take time to be holy, be calm in thy soul,
Each thought and each motive beneath His control.
Thus led by His Spirit to fountains of love,
Thou soon shalt be fitted for service above.
