Is an increasingly isolated Israel a prophetic sign?
All Israel News ^ | November 18, 2023 | J. Micah Hancock

Given the strong support for Israel shown by leaders of the United States and several European countries immediately after the horrific attacks on Israel by Hamas on Oct. 7, one might be forgiven for being surprised at the dramatic loss of support Israel is currently experiencing around the world.

A question for many believers is whether the lack of global support and even widespread antagonism towards Israel at this time is prophetically significant.

The Demand for a Sign

…Jesus said ....” A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.”.... Then He left them and went away.

The calling is STILL open

Revelation almost closes with this:

Revelation 22:17
King James Version

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

There’s only 4 verses after that in the Bible

Sorry, Israel is reaping what they sowed here. There is a lot more to this story than we know and it probably very complex. Bibi needed a war to take attention away from his corruption and the problems he has caused by some of his domestic policies the most controversial being his so called judicial reform that most people were against. He has been in power way too long and Israel is suffering for it.

Isn't Israel a Democracy? It was the citizens who VOTED for his party in last November's election. Shouldn't they be the ones to decide if he has "been in power way too long"? Binyamin Netanyahu is Israel’s longest-serving prime minister. He has proven himself a national leader in whom a solid slice of Israeli society is still happy to put its trust.

What are you saying here - that Netanyahu wanted Hamas to attack and savagely murder and wound thousands of those same citizens just so he could "wag the dog" and get the heat off him??? I'm hard pressed to think of a more cynical, blame the victims excuse than that!

Bibi didn't "need" a pretext to mount a war with the Jew-hating terrorists surrounding Israel. They attack Israel almost daily and their sponsor, Iran, thanks to stupid Bribem's forking over billions, becomes more of a threat as each day passes. I think he's shown restraint knowing that Islamists have NO genuine desire for peace OR a two-state solution. The only solution they want is the annihilation of ALL Jews.

Indeed this is complex, but to say Israel is getting what they deserve (reaping what they sowed) is hideous. Are you on the terrorists' side?

The article is referencing prophetic scriptures in the Bible. Some of these prophecies are unclear as to the time or sequence they take place. During one of these attacks against the nation, some nations that have relationships with Israel question the attack but do not come to Israel’s aid. So, the posted article is not just speaking of what’s happening right now. In Ezekiel 38:11 it states that Israel will be dwelling in unwalled villages (i.e., they will believe that they are secure) it also states in the book of Revelation that the temple will be rebuilt and that animal sacrifices will be taking place. Many Christians wonder about all these things but, at least for right now, no one knows how it will all play out. Some things surely have to change for there to be no walls keeping her enemies out and for the temple to be rebuilt - especially if it will be built at its original site.

Peter the hamas ass kisser, would have us believe the very thing you state, that Oct 7 was a wag the dog by BN. This ‘Jews engineered their own suffering for gain” is an old antisemitic trope

The Apostle Paul discusses all of that in Romans 11. He talks about the blindness and hardness of heart that has taken over the Jewish people. They are still God’s chosen people, as Paul discusses, due to the promises that God made to the Old Testament patriarchs. God will again deal with them as a nation but it will be during the great suffering of the Time of Jacob’s Trouble (also called the Great Tribulation). As Paul says, right now they are enemies of the Gospel (though many are coming to faith in Jesus) but still beloved of God. I think the point of the article at All Israel is that the time of the End of the Age seems to be drawling very near.

(the great suffering of the Time of Jacob’s Trouble (also called the Great Tribulation))

That is absolutely 100% correct

Matthew 24:15-21
King James Version

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

I believe we are seeing the merger of the Left and the jihadis. I do believe the Islamic Caliphate will just about control the whole world towards the end. There will be other players of course. We can see Russia, Turkey and Iran cozying up to each other (even though none trust each other). I think Israel will out last America. I don’t think we have long to go - at least not as a free Republic. I have never seen such corruption in our nation or such stupidity - people voting for their own enslavement. Great article on American Thinker this morning if you missed it.

Jeremiah 30:7
King James Version

7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.

Galatians 3:28-29 states that there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Yes, God’s plan all along was to do this - to break down the barriers between Jew and Gentile, slave and free, male and female. Christians are the wild olive branch grafted in.

Zechariah 12
King James Version
12 The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Chrles L. Feinberg

God Remebersembers: A Study of Zechariah (Wheaton: Van Kampen, 1950, p. 218, 222.

“The last section of the latter part of Zechariah’s prophecy deals with events in the distant future...As a portion of the prophetic Scriptures it is second to none in importance in this book or any other Old Testament book. It is indispensable to an understanding of the events of the last days for Israel‒the time of the Great Tribulation and the establishment of God’s kingdom on earth...In the time of our passage all the nations of earth will be bitten by the virus of anti-Semitism.

For your husband is your Maker— the LORD of Hosts is His name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth. For the LORD has called you back, like a wife deserted and wounded in spirit, like the rejected wife of one’s youth,” says your God. “For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion I will bring you back. In a surge of anger I hid My face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the LORD your Redeemer. “For to Me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you. Though the mountains may be removed and the hills may be shaken, My loving devotion will not depart from you, and My covenant of peace will not be broken,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,” (Isaiah 54:5-10,17)
