In 2008, I drove through Colorado City, Ariz. which was dominated by that cult, and I decided to visit a local market. The experience was surreal. Most of the customers at the market were twentysomething girls, but they were wearing nineteenth-century outfits featuring long dresses, and one girl was wearing a dress made from gingham fabric. It was as though I had traveled through a time warp.

I only saw a couple of men, and they were in their 40s and wearing western shirts.

Driving through the town, I noticed that the houses were quite large—most likely, to accommodate polygamous families.

There is a cult like that running a store and cafe in the Tourist section of Plymouth MA.

Not Mormon, but some other sect that uses child labor and forces all the women and girls to wear prairie dresses and cover their hair.

It’s the best-looking property on the strip, but covers a cultic and unchristian agenda.
