Some NFL punters these days can really give the ball a long ride. But they can’t begin to compete with the long-distance kickers in cosmology who get a kick out of: “Well, maybe spontaneous origin of life can’t be shown using evidence at hand; but boy-oh-boy-by-golly it’s highly probable that life originated in some other part of the universe and came here containing the spores that gave rise to us deep thinkers!”
