In Isaiah 57 the Lords prophet records the rejection of Jehovah by Jewish religious and social leaders and their depraved followers in favor of the demonic Canaanite evolutionary nature religion. The subsequent loss of spiritual leadership resulted in deification of man, occultism, hedonism, and sadistically evil human sacrificial rituals where children were burned to death as offerings to Ba'al, a Canaanite god.
The ancient apostasy of Israel embodies an ageless principle that applies today to apostate Christendom and Protestant America, two civilizations that once professed Christianity but declared the death of our Lord Jesus Christ and then fell into the darkness of satan’s world system, with no respect for human life issuing in rampant killing of babies, or for truth and righteousness.
Upon this apostate land, the Lord has sent a terrible scourge upon America's intellectual, political, and much of the churches religious leadership who have rejected the Lord our God. They have “rejected knowledge,” so they are being “destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Their ignorance, depravity, evil, and madness exists despite an abundance of supposed actual scientific and ideological knowledge in our educational institutions and seminaries because many of our political leaders, professors, teachers, priests, and seminarians have forgotten that “the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge” (Proverbs 1:7).
Our Lord has also sent a terrible scourge of moral anarchy among our children and young people, because their parents and grandparents have largely “forgotten the law of thy God.”
“Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish,” said Christ (Luke 13:5).
Lord, against you, against You only, have the people of this land sinned. Please Lord! Your children of light plead for Your mercy upon this land and its people. Help them--as only You can if it be Your will--to repent and return to the paths of righteousness, to turn away from their idolatry and wrongdoing, and become acceptable in Your sight. We beseech You O Lord In the name of the Crucified Risen Christ. Amen

The new House speaker sounds like just such a man.
We pray for him, too, that you would protect him against all the left and the enemy will lob against him. Keep him from temptation and corruption. Keep him and his family safe from the threats sure to be lobbed his way.
Let him be a strong testimony to Your saving power and use him to bring others to saving faith in You.

Prayer Of Repentance For God’s Mercy
Father, my heart cries out to You for mercy and grace, knowing that there is nothing that commends me to You and there is nothing that I can do to warrant Your forgiveness, except in the cross of Christ Jesus my Lord. Father, my sins testify against me, for my heart is bruised and bloodied and there is no health in me whatsoever. All too often my thoughts are dirty thoughts, which are not honouring to a holy God. And too frequently my thoughts are translated into foul words and actions that contradict my union in Christ and my position as a child of God. For although I have trusted Christ as my Saviour, I have sinned against You in thought, word and deed and am no longer worthy to be called Your child.
Lord, I have sinned against You and I confess my sins before You. My heart’s desire is to turn right away from all my sin and back to You. Back to my first love, my Lord Jesus Christ. Thank You, that Your mercy towards me never fails. Thank You, that Your loving-kindness towards me and all Your children, is new every morning. Thank You, that even though I prove faithless, You remain faithful to the promises that You have made to me, that whosoever believes in Jesus will not perish, but have everlasting life. Thank You, that Christ’s death on the cross has washed away all my sins, past, present and future. Lord, from this day forward, help me to learn to take every thought captive and give it to You, and wash my heart clean and pure so that I live and work to Your honour and glory. For National Repentance, Deliverance And Truth
Dear Lord and Heavenly King, thank You that there are no boundaries in Your kingdom and that You ultimately rule over heaven and earth, despite the fact that wickedness and evil seeks to dominate the nations of the world as well the lives of individuals.
I pray that You would set up godly men and women in positions of leadership and power in our own nation and in all the nations who exercise authority in our world today.
Thank You for those leaders that are prepared to stand up for truth and righteousness. Give them boldness to challenge those who want to to remove the principles of freedom and tolerance and establish the flawed principles that come from human wisdom.
Lord, I pray that You would guide the leaders of many nations to repent of their sins and turn to the path of peace that only comes from You. Help them to understand that the only peace that will ever be established on earth will be under the rule of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, after Your wrath has been poured out on a Christ rejecting sinful world. Have mercy Lord. Have mercy on all the leaders of nations who do not know You. I pray that many will be saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, in Whose name I pray.
