I worked for ten years at a world class observatory.
Most all astronomers claimed that there was no God.
They used all their brain power to explain order from chaos
eg. miracles.
I held my tongue, what little what was left from biting it so much.
I realized it was really a racket, a hobby for which they were handsomely paid.
The observing part seems sensible enough. Drawing conclusions was their weak spot.
They don’t get questioned about that much.
Because then they have to admit some intelligent design or
get get into physics that are beyond where we exist.
