Just something I've heard:

In Hebrew, 6 is Waw. In the table on the right side of the page, Waw in Hebrew looks an awful lot like a vertical bar to me.

Now combine that with the move to digital currency. So for "security," we might be asked or even ordered to get a bar code tattooed on us. Alternatively, we might be asked or ordered to get a chip implanted. The chip of course will include a digital fingerprint aka digital form of a bar code. This code will be needed to buy or sell anything.

Now imagin you are a shepherd and God shows you something like ||| ||| ||||||| |||| ||||||||||| etc.

That first part sure looks like Waw Waw Waw aka 666 to me.

Or is this a stretch? (I am no biblical scholar, but know some people here are.)

Such as a tattoo - perhaps similar to how one marks cattle by branding.

Or how Hitler’s Nazis branded Jews with tattoo numbers for identification purposes.

OK, so there is something to this.

Thanks to you both for responding to my comment.

I see this as a test of faith: Want to be part of the human world, get the mark (tattoo, chip, whatever) and forsake God. Refuse to get the mark, struggle without being part of the human world, forsake that world, but inherit the Grace of God.

I know neither I nor my Dad will EVER get any such mark or chip. Will do my best to convince others not to, especially my brother and his wife (but they never listens to me). My Mom has passed, so not worried there (she had faith).

PS The most convincing thing about this to me — besides my faith — is there is no way the people who wrote (OK technically translated God’s Word into) the books of the Bible could get this so accurately unless inspired by God.

There will be many Tribulation Saints who will refuse the Mark of the Beast - to their deaths - BUT they will inherit their eternal souls. I am pre-trib BUT I'm trying to spread the Word of God around the world through people (sharing) so that when the Angels of Revelation 14 come, the Tribulation Saints will believe them (axiomatic). The overwhelming majority of the world will not and will betray all the Tribulation Saints that they can.

Lets assume this comes to pass. It will — maybe or maybe not now or even in our lifetimes. Not sure these really are the end times. After all, sure people during WWII thought they were in the end times. Also only God know the day and hour. Matthew 24:35-37: “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.” Do grant an awful lot going on now does match up with the prophesies to the extent I’ve learned them from the Bible and other places including here.

Have some practical questions:

(1) If someone tries to force the mark on me or mine, am I allowed to use violence including lethal force to resist in defense of my/their soul(s)?

(2) If someone succeeds to force the mark on me or mine, for example drug me/them and then apply the mark(s), what do I/we do? I’d guess don’t use the mark and also try to remove/destroy it. Or will God not allow the mark to be forced on people?

Understand if you do not have the answers. Really just mulling the issues “out loud” and would like to have your thoughts.

You are 100% correct — it is conditioning.

Next steps will almost certainly be the following:

(1) Wider use/adoption of palm-print scanners;

(2) Some massive fraud, security breach, etc.;

(3) The government or businesses working under orders offer a voluntary security measure in response to (3) in the form of a bar code or chip; and finally

(4) Turn the voluntary security measure into a mandatory one.

Somewhere in the mix also ban use of currency, silver coins, gold coins, etc. — only use of digital currency will be allowed. The likely excuse will be to fight crime/terrorism.
