Actually they are not to be in authority over man, as Christ is not in authority over the Father, (1 Co. 11:3) but union with each other. One is the quarterback, but it is a team.
He told me that he thought the driving force behind homosexuality was powerful sexual addiction.
“Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak;” I Cor. 14:34
Rahab was a whore; yet she is in the lineage of Jesus.

Yes
They had a disagreement.. Charles Stanley had strong beliefs and not much room for other opinions.
Andy’s church is north of Atlanta in a wealthy area. My son has been to his church. It is very large and newcomers can get lost in the crowd.. Finding a place to fit and grow in so many.
Andy is definitely casual.. And perhaps casual takes no hard line on anything.. Homosexuality goes against everything Godly.
The context of your quote deals with being married to a non-Christian. Before filing for divorce, Dr. Stanley's wife, Anna, wrote this note to their church, "Long ago . . . Charles, in effect, abandoned our marriage. He chose his priorities, and I have not been one of them." Christianity Today, April 29, 1996
To qualify as an church leader, one must be a husband. And he must manage his household well. Unless you know more than God, those requirements still stand.
Charles Stanley is on record praising his son for his ministry. I don’t get this other than blood being thicker than water. If he was a minister worth his salt he would’ve condemned The heresy that Andy teaches.
It would not surprise me in the least if Andy Stanley came out as “queer“ in the next five or six years. He could headline the next gay pride parade.
Before Andy...some years ago, I tried to watch Charles Stanley. I couldn’t take his dictatorual way of talking.
At one point.. He said No woman will ever teach me. His wife divorced him.. Maybe he was that way at home.
A father will praise a son.. It’s built into fatherhood.
Andy’s church is a large complex of buildings.
Article :
Andy Stanley is the founder and senior pastor of North Point Ministries, which has eight churches in the Atlanta area: Browns Bridge Church, Buckhead Church, Decatur City Church, East Cobb Church, Gwinnett Church, Hamilton Mill Church, North Point Community Church, and Woodstock City Church. Andy is also the lead pastor and leads the staff of NPCC in its day-to-day operations and in discerning the ministry needs of those who attend NPCC and those who live in the community.
My opinion.. He is very casual in dress and as a minister.. He has a large congregation.. The casual attitude draws people.. He has a large number of young people.. So large, they have groups so ya don’t get lost in all of it.
My son has gone there. He has 2 sons.. The youth groups are nice.. If you can do the crowds.
It’s a whole different way of “churching”.. Andy draws with his casual approach.. Charles is/was of the old school. As long as God is pleased.. And people meet their Lord.
I think his casualness went into accepting this lifestyle.. Carried away..
He has a huge youth following.. And they are hearing from several ministers, it’s okay to cohabit with the same sex.. They are leading the youth into a miserable existence
. Bound by that demon.. Wasting their life in a dark world.. It’s easier to say no to temptation in the beginning, than to get hooked and then want out.
Happiness with the Lord is the foundation of a successful life.
Itchy ears.
Of course, there's a lot of money to be made by condoning the unBiblical lifestyles of your congregation. Congregants needed the seal of approval of a well-known minister. And Andy capitalized on his dad's fame.
As you say, Demonic (with a capital D).
Never be fooled about the aim of the “woke” in bringing DEI into the religious sphere. It is really about DESTRUCTION. If if were really about DEI they would have just set up their own churches/religions. The left is never forthright in anything they do because what they wish to achieve is anathema to every thing America and Western Civilization is founded upon.
