God punished Israel for sacrificing it’s children to their idol moloch. God has made it clear you hurt children and there will be consequences.
My daughter was one of those girls who raised in church all her life, had the talk and still at 17 got pregnant. I was furious and angry with her. I let her know what she did was wrong and she needed to repent. I also let her know I loved her and would be there for her and the baby. The church took the same view with her and the baby. The church is about as hard core conservative as they come, but they have been a blessing for her and my grandson.
She is now a nurse, married for two years and expecting a baby and her first son is six and in first grade at the local Christian school. She made a commitment to stay in church and to raise him in church and God has blessed her.
“my experience has been that abortion was very seldom mentioned in church over the many years it has been legal. Don’t see that changing”
Years ago at the local parish a friend told me that they don’t read Pro-Life petitions during the General Intercessions at Mass because they don’t want to upset the Pro-Choice parishioners. So many churches have such big budgets. So you end up hearing mush preached in order to keep the dollars ruling in. But if it isn’t saving souls what’s the purpose of a church? Too much comfortable Christianity in America. Jesus dealt with this in one question: “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?” -Mark 8:36
Your daughter is blessed to have you for a parent, and she is doubly blessed to belong to the church. My humble little church is conservative too, but very loving and has welcomed many broken people.
What Christophobic arrogance.
Please quote me chapter and verse where the Bible tells us that. (Crickets)
