Y’all still aren’t addressing the points in the article.
Same old slanders cut and pasted.
Says a lot about those posting them.
OK
That’s just plain weird.
He went down the line and addressed the objections. What more is needed?
Though daniel1212 has addressed those.
That you make this false charge says a lot about you.
THREE
Was it a teaching or a Bible-reading Church that Christ founded?
It was both IF one reads the Scripture in context.
The Protestant Bible expressly states that Christ founded a teaching Church, which existed before any of the New Testament books were written.
. Rom. 10-17: So then faith cometh by HEARING, and hearing by the word of God.
Matt. 28-19: Go ye therefore and TEACH all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Mark. 16-20: And they went forth, and PREACHED everywhere the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Mark 16-15: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and PREACH the gospel to every creature.
COMMENT: Thus falls the entire basis of the "Bible-only" theory.
Again, IF one reads the Bible in context one will find appeals to the written word of the Old Testament in the New Testament.
When Paul was on his trips starting churches and revisiting them one finds he went to their synaogues and read from...wait for it...the Scriptures.
Is there preaching and teaching today? You betcha. And what are Christian churches teaching and preaching from? The Bible.
Why?
It is what was left to us.
If we are to rely upon the Roman Catholic claim to tradition they will have to address this:
*****
“We have learned from none others the plan of our salvation, than from those through whom the Gospel has come down to us, which they did at one time proclaim in public, and, at a later period, by the will of God, handed down to us in the Scriptures, to be the ground and pillar of our faith… Matthew also issued a written Gospel among the Hebrews in their own dialect, while Peter and Paul were preaching at Rome, and laying the foundations of the Church. After their departure, Mark, the disciple and interpreter of Peter, did also hand down to us in writing what had been preached by Peter. Luke also, the companion of Paul, recorded in a book the Gospel preached by him. Afterwards, John, the disciple of the Lord, who also had leaned upon His breast, did himself publish a Gospel during his residence at Ephesus in Asia.

If we are to believe Roman Catholicism one has to believe wearing a man-made piece of cloth can keep you out of the hell-fire. That's what so called "tradition" without examining the teaching through the lense of Scripture gets you. False. Teaching.
