In The Gay Science, Friedrich Nietzsche tells “The Parable of the Madman.” In it, a madman lights a lantern in the early morning, runs to the marketplace, and declares, “God is dead.” Nietzsche’s point was that though Enlightenment philosophers had embraced atheism, they had not yet realized the huge implications. So, Nietzsche told them, via a rant from the Madman, which ends when he bursts into church buildings and asks, “What after all are these churches now if they are not the tombs and sepulchers of God?”

I apologize for posting the first piece since it caused confusion, so here is an excellent, straight-forward piece from John Stonestreet that will not cause confusion.
What’s behind America’s great dechurching?
America’s great debauching.
Modern peoples have less need of social-group churches, where the Bible is not taken seriously and all sorts of evil is tolerated. The Bible believing churches will survive. The woke remainder will wither — no great loss.
Could it be ... SATAN?
'Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:'
Too many pastors are ‘preaching’ from the pulpits of Laodicean churches.
The Church itself!!
There is also the fact that at the top of the management/leadership pyramid of almost all churches, there seems to be a globalist/communist cabal. People of faith are demoralized as their financial and spiritual contributions are pirated and misapplied.
Yes, the great falling away.
“What’s Behind America’s ‘Great Dechurching?’”

Exactly this. There are several reasons. Churches are now focused on a “relationship” instead of a moral code to live by. My mother is still active in her church and wonders why I haven’t been in years. I told her to look at her church calendar and find one thing on there that appeals to me as a man. She couldn’t.
Btt!!
The ending of the church age.
This is a BIG BS, I used to hate going to Church, NOW, I LOVE it.
I think debauchery followed a reduction in church attendance.
First was the division of procreation from sex, which started with the acceptance of ABC (Episcopalians/Anglicans, 1930 Lambeth Council).
Next came TV, which really made inroads on all the social organizations: The meeting is on Tuesday? But, but, but, that’s the night for my favorite TV show!
Then came really effective birth control—the Pill, which was rapidly followed by Make Love, Not War and the rapid deterioration of sexual mores.
And the rest is history...
Matthew 24:9
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by ALL nations for My name’s sake.
