Our family spent Christmas in Maui many years ago. The Lahaina Baptist Church did a Christmas program at the hotel where we were staying. It was a beautiful service.

Did that church survive the fire?

According to their website, the church survived the fire, but everything around it burned to the ground. There is a picture of the church after the fire on their home page.

CCW’s building survived the fire. But the building is closed. Pastor Steve has been Preaching Sunday Services in that park for about 30 years. The park survived too.

Calvary Chapel Westside has been my Church away from home for about 10 years. The Sunday service in the park has always been the highlight of our many trips to Maui.

Pastor Steve is one of the best Bible teachers I’ve ever heard.

Lahaina is gone, but God remains. Pray for Lahaina.
