Fear in the church: Too many of God’s people afraid to fight
The Washington Times ^ | August 11, 2023 | Cheryl K. Chumley

OPINION:

Sixty-nine percent of Protestant pastors in a Lifeway Research survey said they see a “growing sense of fear” among their congregants, and another 63%, that their pews are also filled with people who feel “dread” about the “future of Christianity” in America and around the world.

...

“The Episcopal Church approves religious weddings for gay couples,” The Washington Post reported in 2015.

Immorality thrives when the moral lose hope.

“’T]he Presbyterian Church (USA) voted to redefine marriage as a ‘commitment between two people’ … formally allowing same-sex marriages within the church,” Time wrote in 2015.

Ungodly principles and unbiblical beliefs spread when the supposedly godly and biblical fail to godly proclaim their faith.

“Here are other major churches in the U.S. that allow same-sex marriage: The Evangelical Lutheran Church of America … The Episcopal Church … The United Church of Christ,” Time went on to list.

The open mocking of God becomes the norm when those who supposedly know God best — and love Him most — refuse to stand tall for His truths.

Some modern churches have more LGBTQ rainbow flags and Black Lives Matter signage displayed on their grounds than Christian crosses. Some modern flocks push harder for socialism — under guise of preaching and teaching skewed, false ideas about Jesus — than even the public schools that have been openly infiltrated by card-carrying socialist teachers and union representatives. Some modern church leaders preach on the right of women to abort — they call it abortion justice.

“Unitarian Universalists have the highest level of support for abortion rights among denominations, with 90 percent saying abortion should be legal,” NBC News wrote in 2022, citing Pew Research.

That’s a condition of a sick society.

It’s because they fear their fellow men more than God and they desire the approval of their fellow men more than the approval of God.

The failure begins with church leadership. Instead of being bold, strong and courageous, they whimpered and caved to atheistic “leaders” who told them to wear masks and close their congregations.

These Protestant “churches” left the sacred teachings long ago, to serve ancient heresies and sinful sexual behavior of Satanists of old. This degeneracy is not something new. It has been amply described in scripture since the Pentateuch and by the Lord Jesus Christ and Paul’s epistles, etc etc.

This perversion is the same old wicked perversion Satan has always wrought.

There is nothing to fear, for these Satanists will themselves be consumed. Christ will always remain.

All the churches in my town closed during COVID. So I have no real churches in my town.

Not just the church.

American men, as a whole, have been cowered by their success to wave off rather than fight.

It's easy for ME to talk because I'm 75 and almost out'a here, but I recognized this back in the seventies when we as a faction became more politically social and slowly veered towards politicians and education instead of fighting.

I had a couple of street fights in my youth, neither one was pretty and I got my ass kicked, but I willingly went in to do damage.

Maybe that's why I only had a couple of fights.

But in my opinion, men today are not Lexington Green patriots.

Truthfully, I'm waiting for a "terminal" diagnosis . . . and wait to see what the papers report the next, or in a few, days

Too many Christians today just want to be entertained at church and fed coffee and donuts. It’s not about what I can do for God, but what God can do for me.

These new “mega” churches with their massive buildings, endless “wings” for support groups, daycares, Sunday schools (so parents can use church as a semi babysitting service and get away from kids for 2 hrs rather than make them sit and listen and behave in church) are about as spiritual as a trip to Target. Most of them just play music for about an hour with light shows and massive graphics up on the screens. It’s like they’re all vying and “marketing” to keep the attention of the congregation for longer than 10 minutes.

What is Faith anymore? I doubt most of these people even consider how lucky they are to even be able to gather and worship without being killed or arrested.

I am suffering with this too. covid was the first time in 100s of years, if ever the Catholic Church shut down. I no longer trust the Church to be open for me. I’ve let the ArchBishop know my thoughts. He “doesn’t get involved with politics” short fat coward.

It’s a Society that does not Know the Word of God...nor do they care to. Apart from a few ‘spoon feedings’ in church prescious few read the scriptures on their own....let alone disguss them among other church members.

Despite all this demonic energizing around us, let us believers do everything we can, in our reasonable way, to keep the sevenfold “unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace”:

One body
One Spirit
One hope that belongs to your call
One Lord
One faith
One baptism
One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all

(Ephesians 4)

It’s what happens when you keep turning your inexhaustible supply of other cheeks.

Time to go “old testament” ... Or go extinct.
