There was actually a fair bit of Christian metaphor in the Harry Potter books, especially toward the end of the series. You mean like how the Gays use the Rainbow as a metaphor?

“... She credits other spells with securing subsequent salary raise...”
Why doesn’t she cast a spell to win the lottery instead of a measly raise? Just a bunch of mumbo jumbo.

In the final book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, there is a *bunch* about sacrificial love, quoting the apostle Paul, the meaning of "King's Cross"...
It's not on the same level as Chronicles of Narnia, but I was still pleasantly surprised.
The only thing that irks me about the Potter books is when Rowling said that Dumbledore is homosexual. But that's not directly stated in the books. It was certainly no endorsement of that "lifestyle choice", in fact Dumbledore's refusal to deal with the man he had once fallen in love with has DIRE consequences for the wizarding world.

As for casting spells, this violates the first Commandment-and it is also putting yourself, and what you want, ahead of what God wants for you.

Very sad. You cannot profess a true belief in G-d AND practice witchcraft. The two beliefs are incompatible. G-d has said, “A sorcerer shall not be allowed to live (Exodus 22:17}”, so we know His opinion on the matter.

That’s because there is no such thing as magic, only the grace and will of God Almighty Himself!

In my opinion, the Harry Potter series is overrated as bleep 🤬! I prefer “The Chronicles Of Narnia” by the late great C.S Lewis or the Middle Earth stories of JRR Tolkien!

That’s correct, human beings aren’t meant to manipulate the universe, only God should have that power.

can’t everything just exist together? Can’t saints and bodhisattvas both be great?” You want to get to the top of the mountain. You can hike up; you can ride a bike or a motorbike; you can take the funicular railroad or a plane. But you can't do all of them at the same time. Not even two.
