Considering the Everglades closeness to urban South FLorida the trapper may have found sites from Santeria or Santa Muerte or Voodoo or Palo Mayombe rituals.
About 10 years ago ,, off Adams road off bowman in road cottonwood area,,
I and a freind found what we figured was a fresh satanic ritual site early one morning walking his dog that pulled us to it
blood on the severed goat head was fresh. The ashes in the center of the trampleled grass ring was still warm. Liked like it must have been performed at night sometime before sunrise.
