Correlation is not causation
The phrase “correlation does not imply causation” refers to the inability to legitimately deduce a cause-and-effect relationship between two events or variables solely on the basis of an observed association or correlation between them
I dug a piece of bread that had butter on it from the bottom of my garbage can
I dug another piece of bread with no butter from the top of my garbage can
That does not prove that second found piece of bread evolved
