This seems quite the contrast between "suffer the little children to come unto me" and today's twisted notion, "suffer, the little children."

The argument is a socialist's. "And so for me, I want to just plant a flag and say, let us be people that never advocate for abortion restrictions without an accompanying paid family leave support." When is it the government's task to deal with this? And when is it a church's -- or entity within a denomination -- to lobby for more government?

“ 'Pregnant, scared, poor woman and girl is experiencing an unexpected pregnancy,' Rosati says. 'What does she need? She needs what we all need. She needs a place to live. She needs healthcare. She needs transportation.' Rosati calls these pregnancies 'unexpected,' but doesn't explain exactly what these 'poor women' actually expect is going to happen when out being promiscuous and having unprotected sex."

PROMISCUITY. And by the Guttmacher Institute tally, more than half a million a year, which means more than half a million instances of promiscuity and unprotected sex, as well.

An aggregate of more than sixty million over time. That's an awful lot or "unexpected."

When the "wages of sin" are a place to live, healthcare, transportation, then these are actual wages, paid for by the socialist's dream -- money from somebody else.

Trust in government now? What ever became of bearing your neighbor’s burdens, and trusting in God?

“Pregnant, scared, poor woman and girl is experiencing an unexpected pregnancy,”
sounds similar to experiencing an “unexpected student loan.” Whatever happened to “I am woman, hear me roar,”?
Bowl down and worship the image.

Are you Protestant? Why do you focus on new stories like this?

They mischaracterize somewhat the views of the lady that is referenced in the article. I don’t exactly like her wording but she is basically saying provide a means for encouraging keeping the baby instead of abortion. I do not think that is the place of government to do that so I disagree with her on that.
It is true that this arm of the SBC has totally gone off the rails. It is sad what has happened to the once very theologically sound SBC. Russell Moore did so much damage.

The Catholic Church is going gay. The Southern Baptists are going limp. When the real persecution hits, real Christians are going to find themselves standing really alone.

If the SBC was actively and consitently promoting its units and members towards adoption activities and particularly with distressed young women, as much a its ERLC body was in “being kind” about abortions, that would be better, but that is not what youv’e got.

I am a “right to life” person, but I aslo think that every Christian church and denomination should have very big denomination-wide activities promoting adoption and with those efforts also having some focus on young pregnant single women in distress. I don’t see it Christian to just oppose abortion and not as fervently promote adoptions. “Having” and SAVING a child is more than just deliverying it from the womb. Christians must support not just the delivery of the child but that the child has a good family home as well.
