>>>Why should anyone have questioned his belief regarding keeping the Sabbath holy?>>>
You kiddin. Look around you here. Today’s evangelicals have nailed the Ten Commandments to the cross to get out from the Sabbath. It’s new theology that protestants like Wesley would have laughed at. He understood the difference between the law written by Moses in the book and the Moral law written by God himself in stone. That’s my point in all this.
Seems few if any of today’s evangelicals know anything about Protestant Reformation theology which upheld ALL ten of the ten commandments.....as Wesley did.
Our family was visiting there for the first time as a gesture to the family of her thankfully now ex-husband, soon after my sister was married. If I hadn't just turned 17, I like to think I would have walked out. My sister's ex later on spent years in prison for raping his stepdaughter. Her marriage didn't last but a couple of years after her ex got hooked on heroin in Viet Nam.
I don't have a very high regard for so called Evangelical preachers.
I also see your point.
Col 2:16
New King James Version
So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths,
I’ll just toss this one into the mixing pot.
Actually, I believe we are in the 7th day (a day is like 1000 years), and every Earth day is part of this continual Sabbath (day of REST).
