Wow. Kirk Cameron went off the deep end, didn’t he? He was holding firm in a good place for a very long time.
When I hear him speak, I hear Ray Comfort’s voice.
I wondered if I might meet him that day (as I often have very unusual encounters with people like that - including a few regularly on TV - and not always liked by everyone, LOL).
I had an extraordinarily busy job at the time too - with mandatory overtime (the best stretch was one particular 31-day period where I got 1 day off - ONE).
I just stood there, shaking my head as Kirk spoke, and the audience was clapping, clapping, clapping.
The Bible speaks of those who falsely claim “peace, peace!” when there is no peace. At least that’s how it came off to me (IMHO).
Kirk may believe he’s doing a good thing but IMHO he was giving them false hope.
Time will tell, of course. In the meantime, we watch and we pray.
