I think attendance was near normal. I guess one day of making a statement was all the CA a-holes could muster.
The Dodgers made a point of bringing out the Drag Queens when they knew there would be few people in the stands.
By later in the game there were probably about 40,000 in the stands.
There are a LOT of people in the LA area and the overwhelming amount of them are godless, worldly, pagans (I know: I was raised there and spent half my life there). To expect more than a slight dip in attendance is unrealistic. The point was made, and the prayers will not go in vain. This isn't over in God's eyes by a considerable sight. The Dodgers getting slaughtered right after seems like it might have been a wink from God saying, "I hear ya!"
