Not really. If your intent on going on Saturday evening is for a legitimate purpose, fine, you can go on Saturday evening. (According to the bible, a holy day begins at sundown, not at midnight.) But if your intent is to fulfill the letter of the law in a manner that opposes the spirit of the law by obeying the Church’s authority while denying that very authority, you’ve got a problem.
The Sabbath ends at sundown. Saturday evening is Sunday. And, the commandment tells us to keep the day holy, not just go to a meeting.
All but the smallest churches Catholics hold mass several times a week, any Catholic church of size has a daily mass.
Due to priest shortages I know some smaller churches cannot manage one 5 days a week, but there isn’t a diocese I know of that does not offer a mass every single day of the week at one of their churches or another.
Not getting into the which day to observe issue.
From the various Protestant denominations “services” I have attended in my lifetime, the day of the week they choose to have them is the least of the issues I have had with them.
